I don’t know if it’s because it’s near the end of the school year or what – but this week FLEW by! I can’t believe summer break starts soon – plus Harper and mine’s birthdays are also next week…May is always such a busy month for our family!
ONE
Candice & I hosted our garage sale last weekend and it was a huge success! Harper raised $150 for Kids Meals Houston at her drink stand and we sold a ton of clothing, furniture and home decor – it’s always such a great feeling to clean out our closets and garages and see our things get to be enjoyed again by others.
Our goal is to turn our garage into a workout space, so selling and donating a lot of our items has been a great starting off point to get us motivated to start that project. Our garage has been a mess since we moved in, despite adding storage shelving, so it’s a great feeling to have it looking a little more bare.
TWO
This week I took my second group tennis lesson and I’m loving it! I played tennis as a child and teen and took lessons, but I definitely need to brush up on my skills (badly). We’ve been going to the club a lot and we swim there every weekend. This amazon tie shoulder dress makes for such a cute cover-up and it’s one of my favorite colors, too! SHOP IT HERE.
I also love my Freedom Moses sandals for the pool – they’re waterproof, chic and comfortable. I wore them all of last summer and they’re the only sandals I wear to the pool now!

My favorite light fixture and lamp are on sale right now -the Visual Comfort Linden Lamp and the Visual Comfort/Julie Neill Alberto Chandelier. I always say lighting is the jewelry of the home, so it’s definitely something I don’t mind splurging on – these fixtures make such a dramatic impact. Visual Comfort lighting is always top notch – 80% of our home’s lighting is VC and I’ve been so pleased with the style and quality.
