Amazon Gift Guide for Kids - Veronika's Blushing

Last year I shared everything we got our kids for Christmas (see those picks below!) and today I’m sharing a new gift guide for kids – all from amazon. I know shopping early is a priority for a lot of us with inventory and shipping delays, so I’m happy to be publishing these early and getting my own shopping off to a good start!

This post will include toys and games our kids love and play with most as well as some new picks of items we are planning to purchase for them, or already have.

THE TOYS OUR KIDS PLAY WITH MOST
Before getting to this year’s gift guides for kids, I want to first cover the toys our kids already play with consistently. Of course every child has different preferences and interests, so this is just what our kids like best but I thought it was a great starting off point – I even asked them to chime in with their favorite toys so my post would be accurate!

magna tiles – they build a ton of stuff with magna tiles – we have 3-4 sets, including the mega set which is pricey but I highly recommend it especially when kids are older and can build more complex things. What I love about these is that kids don’t really grow out of them quickly. We’ve had them from toddlerhood onward and they both still love them, so the investment has been worth it.
brain flakes – L plays with these a ton – he builds the most elaborate and intricate things with these – you can truly make anything and I’ve often been in awe of the things he creates with these – to the point that I truly believe every child would benefit from having these.

stuffies – our kids love to build zoos and their stuffed animals are used every single day. I truly thought we were almost out of the stuffed animal era, but they actually play with them now more than they used to when they were younger. My favorite brand is Jellycat.
art supplies – our kids love to draw – so I always make sure their art nook is stocked up with everything they need – in fact, I have an entire blog post about it!
dinosaur toys – L is obsessed with all things dinosaur – you can see some of his favorites in this post.
lego – L still plays with lego a lot – he doesn’t keep his sets together much and prefers to just build from his imagination.
sewing – H loves to sew – she has a sewing kit with needles and threads and fabric, but I also linked this sewing kit in my post as a great starting off point!
nintendo switch – both kids love Nintendo switch. H likes Animal Crossing and L likes the LEGO games (like jurassic world), Mario cart, etc.
blankets and pillows (for building forts) – I’m going to order the kids this fort building kit for the kids because they’e obsessed with using all of our pillows, blankets and chairs/stools upstairs to build forts in our game room/family room.

AMAZON HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR GIRLS
You’ll find that a lot of my picks for H this year are craft and “maker” gifts. Harper really loves to create and kits like this make it easy to have a structured activity with everything you need in one place. I also included books and some clothing/accessories (some of which we already have and love!)

AMAZON HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR BOYS
For L, I picked out a mix of building, dinosaur and craft toys. Some of these we already have and love and some are new finds – I think he’ll love the dinosaur target game and it’s something we can use outdoors! I also linked the dinosaur gift guide because there are a few items from that post that we saved to give him for Christmas!
