Favorite Things in Our Home for Fall

When I think about fall, I think of cooler days, family walks, baking pumpkin bread and cooking a pot of chili. I think about all of the little luxuries we have at home that make it feel warm, welcoming and cozy – from a super soft blanket or a machine that makes the perfect lattes, to everyday dishes that make each meal feel special.

I’m sharing some home items we love today that make everyday feel like a luxury and that enhance our day-to day-lives and routines. Everything I’m sharing is available at Walmart.com – they have such an incredible selection of items for every single space in your home – I hope you enjoy my picks!

SPECIALTY COFFEE
There’s nothing more luxurious than being able to make amazing lattes right in your own home. We’ve had a Nespresso machine for nearly a decade now – in fact, we have two (they each take different style pods) and absolutely love them. When we all started working from home, I was never more thankful to have the ability to make coffee-shop style lattes at home. I love enjoying a couple lattes each morning – they start my day off right, give me a boost of energy and the smell/aroma just elevates my mood! In fact, I consider a great cup of coffee to be part of my self-care!

I always use vanilla almond milk in my Nespresso milk frother and then I top it with ground cinnamon for flavor and health benefits. See my favorites below!

BEAUTIFUL DISHES
I truly believe in using the beautiful things you have for everyday and not saving them for special occasions. That’s why I love purchasing pretty plates, bowls and everyday dishes for family meals – because it makes each meal feel more special. I recently got these gorgeous scalloped dishes from The Pioneer Woman collection at Walmart. They’re a perfect shade of jade green and you can get the dinner plates, salad plates, or the set of three (shown here). These dishes are such a showstopper that you can also display them – on floating shelves in your kitchen or in a china cabinet – they’re so pretty, you’ll want to leave them out!

With the holidays around the corner, they also make beautiful plates for any special occasion or family gathering – they really make a statement and the price is so incredible.

NEW, FLUFFY TOWELS
I’ve been guilty of keeping towels longer than I should, but replacing your worn-out towels is the ultimate way to ensure the coziest post-bath experience. We got this blue and white striped towel set from the Gap Home collection at Walmart for the kids and they’re very soft and fluffy, just like we like them! They’re also made with organic cotton, a huge bonus!

We’ve started bathing the kids right when they get home from school and it has been a game-changer for our nighttime routine! The kids love the calm-down bath as soon as they get home – it really relaxes them!

COMFORT FOODS & BAKING READY
The fall season always inspires me to make our family’s favorite chili recipe and we bake like crazy (hello, pumpkin bread!) We love using our KitchenAid stand mixer when we bake – we’ve owned and loved it for a very long time and it’s a staple in our baking routine – especially when we make a ton of sugar cookies for the holidays. This mixer is an investment you won’t regret – and it looks great out on your counter if you’d like to display it! Ours gets the most use from fall-winter because we bake larger batches for every holiday.
