ONE
I shared on my stories this week that I’ve felt a little bit frustrated about my day-to-day schedule (or lack thereof). After leaving my corporate job, I felt the need to “take it easy” for a couple of months, but I immediately fell back into the routine of working on my phone and laptop and would get sucked into a cycle of parking myself in one place for extended periods of time.
After more than decade, I think I’m still stuck in the corporate mindset of being at your desk 8 hours a day to feel “productive” and “prove how hard you work.” But when I think about my needs outside of work, I’m not leaning into the amazing flexibility I currently have and falling into the very patterns I was so happy to escape. Old habits truly do die hard.
I’m trying to establish new habits that I think will make me feel accomplished and consistent before I even crack my laptop open for the day. My new routine involves taking the kids to summer care (and in a few weeks, school), coming home and eating breakfast/drinking coffee, taking Teddy for a walk and then doing 20-30 minutes of movement (Melissa Wood Health) before starting my workday at around 9:30.
I used to sit and drink my coffee for a long time while scrolling, checking emails, responding to DMs, etc., but now I’m trying to find ways to jumpstart my day by leaning into caring for myself first, before working. I don’t have a commute or set hours, so to not take advantage of that doesn’t make sense.
I posted about it to have an extra level of accountability – if I put it out in the world, it somehow motivates me more to stick with it – so in way, all of y’all are helping me stay committed – so thank you!

TWO
Shop One Third gifted me their tweed 01 jacket, which is their OG jacket and I absolutely love it (it also comes navy!) Perfect for the office or with jeans, it instantly adds a dose of chic to any outfit. I’ve long loved tweed and have owned several other jackets before, but this one truly has the best style, fit and details. I’m wearing a size small and it fits true to size.
My favorite things about tweed jackets is that they always convey elegance to me. You can throw them on with almost anything and the outfit is immediately elevated. With fall around the corner, a tweed jacket is a great thing to add to your wardrobe! FYI, this fringe tweed cardigan is 50% off right now if you need black!

THREE
I feel like I need to re-share these sandals because I wear them pretty much anytime I leave the house (more color options here). They’re super comfortable and great for the beach or pool since you don’t have to worry about getting them wet.

FOUR
I got this amazing cane handbag that sold out right after I shared it – but I linked similar options by the same designer, here.
More items I’m loving this week:
- White tie shoulder top with scalloped hem (in case you missed the Walmart top that sold out!)
- Large abstract art for under $40
- Got this sports bra in and love it! I had to size up to a large FYI. It’s great for low impact/yoga/pilates workouts.
- This lemon print tie shoulder dress is so pretty!
- I have the older version of these scalloped bed sheets and they’re so good!
- Blue bow sheets for little girl’s room!
- $8 bamboo cutlery – such a great price point!
- The prettiest white top with the most beautiful ruffle sleeves
- These floral pots are amazing
- Cannot get over these bamboo melamine plates
- Nude bow jelly sandals with pearls
- Kids native lookalikes for less!
- Green printed bikini
- Affordable pink drinking glasses
- Printed floral one piece (looks like a designer one!)
- Straw bag with pearl handle
- Acrylic laptop stand
