I decided to sign up for a two-class trial at a local Lagree fitness studio, which is basically a reformer pilates method. I just started working out again this week after a break and thought it might motivate me to do an in-person class. I have done reformer pilates once before, so this should be interesting! Based on all of your feedback, these classes are really challenging.
To be honest, I never saw myself ever doing any kind of in-studio classes again, but working from home has left me craving some things on my calendar that force me to leave the house a couple of times a week outside of just regular errands. I’ll report back!
Something I’ve learned about myself recently is that I’ll likely always be someone who either works out regularly or not at all. I want to be the person who is consistent and has that level of discipline, but that’s just not always possible for me without great mental effort to stay on track, so I’ve accepted that I’ll have periods where I’m really engaged in my health and fitness goals and some where I take an extended break.

I got a large order in from SHOPBOP this week and was impressed with several of the items in my order!

I ended up loving the Paige jeans and both white tops! I love the Madewell jeans also, but they’re pretty similar to my AGOLDE jeans.

My closet is a mess. I went through it when I resigned from my job and removed clothes I no longer wear, but it’s still a disaster. It’s a really small closet (relative to the size of our home), so I really need to just take everything out and start over when the mood next strikes me.
In the meantime, I’ve ordered this jewelry box to help me store some of my lesser-worn pieces. I now wear all of my Lindsey Leigh diamond earrings 24/7, so I don’t really plan to swap the out for my other studs anytime soon (I will still throw on the occasional statement earring in my first hole).

Speaking of my diamond earrings, below is a list of the ones I wear now (all from Lindsey Leigh Jewelry). I decided to get all real gold/diamond jewelry because I want to wear them 24/7 and I have sensitive skin.
Keeping earrings in all the time means ears don’t get as irritated and the piercings can heal better (I had not worn earrings in my second hole for a long time and though the holes were still there, I had to re-heal them when I started wearing earrings in them again). Now that I have real diamonds in all of my piercings, it’s hard to go back…the sparkle factor just hits different 😉
- first holes: small diamond flower studs
- second holes: small three diamond row earrings (not online right now/sold out)
- third hole: mini diamond stud (I will pierce the third hole in my right ear soon)
- cartilage: double diamond stud
- On my wish list: marquise lotus studs, petite diamond trio studs, 5 pear diamond studs and single pear diamond stud.
- My necklace with my children’s names is linked here.

Speaking of piercings, I had my cartilage pierced last week at Electric Chair in Houston. I chose a tattoo shop because I wanted my ear pierced with a needle, not a gun.
A lot of you have asked if they allowed me to use my own earrings for the piercing and the answer is yes, but they cannot guarantee this. They have to see the earrings in person. Since mine are from a jeweler (Lindsey Leigh), they have high quality backings, which is what they’re looking for.
Cartilage piercings notoriously take a longer time to heal (4 months to a year), but one of y’all recommended this post-piercing spray to help with healing and discomfort. My piercer gave me sea salt and a recipe to make a cleaner with, so I’ve been using that, but this piercing spray has over 1000 five-star reviews, so I thought it might be even better. I’ll keep y’all posted.
There is a lot of debate over what to use and not use on piercings in various articles I’ve read, but we used alcohol and polysporin on mine and Harper’s piercings and they’re healing really well. Her first holes and my third were also pierced with a needle. I’ve read that piercing with a needle is safer and less painful, since the needle is hollow and has a sharp point to create a clean hole (it removes a small amount of skin and tissue in the immediate area of the piercing wound) creating a space for the jewelry to rest and allowing room for the wound to drain and to heal (source).

Have a great weekend!
Great post! Which earrings are the most comfortable to sleep in? Do you ever have trouble with them falling out while sleeping?
Totally random, but I work in a very hot environment. Do you know of any light weight pants?
Thank you!
So I sleep in all of them and they don’t fall out. That’s one reason to get earrings from a jeweler. The backings are usually higher quality and the metals they use are real so non irritating for most.
Do you mean lightweight business casual pants?
Is it hard to sleep on your side with the earrings? That is the trouble I have.
I’m looking for lightweight very casual pants. It would be nice if there was a denim made out of a lightweight material.
I am a side and stomach sleeper, so I sleep on the side the earring isn’t on or my back.
