I want, more than anything, for it to be jacket weather on a regular basis here in Houston, but alas, it seems like we won’t get cooler temps until November.
Having said that, I know a lot of y’all live in parts of the country and outside of the US where it’s gloriously cool. Color me jealous! Today’s post breaks down some amazon coat finds I love – all are under $150.
The Wool Blend Belted Coat (size 2)
I love the slim fit and overall chic look of this coat. It’s so versatile (goes with everything), is lined and looks expensive. At $79, it’s a very fair price point for a jacket you’ll get so much wear out of. I like a closer fit to my jackets, so I always got with a 2 in jackets, but if you wear very thick sweaters, I’d opt for your normal size.

The Oversized Wool Coat (size x-small)
I opted for navy in this coat to add a little variety to my collection – it’s also lined and great quality, but has more of a relaxed fit (I recommend sizing down a size or two). This coat is a little trendier, but I like to try different styles and menswear inspired jackets are always a fun way to balance out feminine parts of an outfit like a lace tank.
THE Amazon Coat (aka the Orolay Women’s Thickened Down Jacket – size small) another puffer jacket option here
This coat is internet famous for good reason (even the NYT wrote about it!) It’s super warm, cozy and has such cool details from the zippers to the pockets to the sherpa lined hood. When the frenzy over this coat first began, I didn’t really “get it,” but I do now. There are tons of puffer coats on the market, but this one just feels special with its unique details. It’s true to size and I highly recommend it!
The Classic Trench (size xs)
I’ve talked about it before, but this trench is gorgeous. It’s such a great length, amazing quality and a piece that will be in your closet for years to come because it’s such a fall wardrobe staple (and winter too, if you live in the South!)I hope you enjoyed this post – stay warm!
SHOP THE POST
Great post! Very informativa!
Great post! Just wondered what size you took in the Orolay jacket? I am similar in size to you and am debating between the XS and S… thank you as always!
Mine is a size small – I say true to size! I also ordered the XS but prefer the fit of the small in this one! I am 5’10 for reference!
