Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
A few months ago, I purchased a Gucci double-G buckle belt in the skinny version in the color “porcelain rose.” I’d been debating one for awhile and once I saw a couple of friends wear it in this color and style, I knew it would be a designer investment piece I’d get a ton of wear out of.
Nordstrom, one of my favorite shopping destinations (for everything from fashion, beauty, home decor and accessories -and more) carries my Gucci double-G buckle belt as well as a ton of other designer lines. They offer free shipping and returns, so you can feel confident in your investments! When I got my Gucci belt, I got so many DMs/messages about it, that I wanted to share a full review now that I’ve had it for a few months. GUCCI BELT Q&A
What size Gucci belt did I order?
I ordered size 85 and probably could have done an 80 (for reference I wear a 27 in jeans). Since so many styles are higher waisted now and in order to wear it with dresses and skirts, I’d recommend sizing down a size (unless you only plan to wear it with regular rise jeans or pants). I adore the way the belt looks cinching the waist of a dress or skirt, so sizing down ensures you’ll have enough belt holes to wear it both ways.
How often do I wear my Gucci belt?
I wear it anywhere from one to three times per week on average. The reason I love the skinnier belt so much is because it’s so chic and easy to wear with both denim and my work pants. The thicker version is gorgeous, but I didn’t see myself wearing it often because it’s such a statement piece and to be honest, I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing it to work. This one (and the porcelain rose color, too!) feels more subdued and subtle, while still making a statement and adding a little something extra to any outfit.
Which color should I buy?
It really depends on what you’re most drawn to and what you’d get the most wear out of. As I mentioned above, I think the porcelain rose is the perfect goes-with-everything neutral, but you can’t go wrong with the black, brown or any other color.
Was the Gucci belt worth the investment?
100% YES! I love it so much with jeans, denim shorts, skinny work pants, around the waist of dresses and skirts – it truly goes with everything. I also love how versatile the color is and how it looks fantastic with black work pants, a camisole and blazer but also with cutoff shorts and a white tee for the weekend. Most importantly, I truly look forward to wearing the belt every time I slip it on!

My latest splurge is a pair of Chanel ballet flats but I haven’t been able to wear them outside yet. 😂 so not sure I’ll do that again.
I‘m confused. Did you buy the belt itself or did you get it in reward to write this sponsored post? No judgment just not sure if you paid for it.
Hi Anna! As I mentioned in this post, I purchased the belt myself months ago (you can see my unboxing video from April here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BwNh-8NFtM1/). The post is sponsored, but I purchased the items myself. When something is gifted, like the PR packages I receive in the mail that I share on IG stories, I disclose that and tag the brand. If I review a product that was sent to me, I say it was gifted in the text of the post.
I really appreciate this post in mulling over purchasing a Gucci belt, mainly because I also think the larger belt is a little too flashy for my style and I would like to be able to wear it to work. I am curious to know how the belt has held up for you over time (in terms of showing wear) and if you think this style is going to keep holding up? Thanks!
Do the creases in the metal G’s turn dark after a while ?
Hmm…I have I not noticed this!
