Happy Easter to you and your family and happy Passover! We had a pretty relaxed holiday, considering how much sugar was consumed, ha. We learned this weekend that Lincoln really loves jellybeans – he’s actually not usually that into sweets, so it was funny how into them he was. He literally hid behind the dining table and sat in the corner and ate them out of his eggs.
After we woke up, the kids went downstairs to see their Easter baskets (with the DIY sensory kits in them!) and then went on an “egg hunt” in our house. The kids played with their kits, watched a show and we sipped coffee and all had breakfast. Then, we walked to the park and let the kids get out some energy before our 1:30 brunch/lunch reservation.
The restaurant we ate at had a special Easter brunch buffet and let’s just say I don’t think I can even eat dinner tonight because I ate a day’s worth of calories in that meal and am still SO full.
We snapped some family photos before we headed to brunch and I think this is the first year we’ve ever had a somewhat calm family photo session on a holiday – we must have gotten lucky!
I wore my $20 pink amazon dress (I wore a nude skirt slip and my favorite nude strapless bra underneath) and I think it looks so great and it was comfortable too (and I feel the need to mention it has pockets!) Mine is a size small – such a fantastic find – highly recommend it! I paired it with these studded sandals (obsessed – they are TTS and very comfortable).
I also went out of my comfort zone a bit and tried this gingham headband – I adore it and now I want to order more! You can find some of my faves here and here.
