We’re back to a normal school week following Spring Break and I haven’t done a post like this in a while, so I thought I’d share some recent family photos from one of our Spring break adventures. Both Kevin and I had really busy work weeks, but we took Friday off to take the kids to Pleasure Pier in Galveston.
We went there last year as well and the kids both had a great time, though Lincoln was tall enough for more of the rides this year (I swear going to Disney has made both of our kids pretty fearless when it comes to rides…or maybe they inherited our adrenaline-junkie, rollercoaster-loving tendencies!)
The weather was cold and windy (in the high 50’s, but on the water, it felt cooler), so we had the pleasure of riding most of the rides with virtually zero lines. The kids got to ride over and over (and over) again which made the day even more fun. We had lunch and went back to ride more rides until we were finally too exhausted to continue. Both kids napped on the way home (after having parking lot meltdowns, of course) and we spent the rest of the day relaxing!
I now have six pairs of Rothy’s flats (I wear the point style) and Harper has two pairs (the third, the new kid’s sneakers, are in the mail as I write this!) They’re so comfy and machine washable (they’re made form recycled plastic). I adore them!
On Saturday we all went to Paw Patrol LIVE! and the kids loved it. It’s Lincoln’s favorite show – every time we turn it on he says “what do the pups save today?” It’s so cute! He has all of the Paw Patrol toys and action figures and builds them all kinds of stuff with magnatiles.
After the show, we headed to Superica for lunch. We hadn’t eaten there yet (it’s relatively new) and it was amazing. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the diablo sauce on them is incredible. I also had one of their salads and loved it.
On Sunday, we took the kids to City Centre to play (we bring soccer balls to kick/throw around in the green space) and for lunch at BellaGreen (I almost always get the blackened shrimp salad). We stopped in at Anthropologie and Sephora – I picked up this bowl/planter from anthro (love the texture!) and my beloved NARS bronzer and Olaplex, which I’m testing out for my hair (so many of y’all messaged me that you love it!)
How gorgeous is Anthro’s store display of florals?!We did wear green on St. Patrick’s Day – do the stems on Harper’s strawberry tee count?
Hope you have an amazing week!
