Happy Friday!

Kendi wrote a great post about her style evolution and it made me reflect a lot on my own style changes throughout the years. It’s fun to look back at my archives but as with all things, style evolves over time and I love her message!

On Instagram stories, I’ve been purging all the things and I know how many of you love to do a big cleanse in the new year. If you need extra inspiration, check out the show Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. You can also purchase her book, here, if you want to learn about the full method.
Emily Ley is doing a challenge where you tackle one task per day on her Instagram page and has a 2019 simplified series on her blog.
You can also follow Life in Jeneral for organizing and de-cluttering tips.
I have felt even more compelled this year to simplify – have less, buy less, do less.

Speaking of Netflix, please stop what you’re doing and add “watch the show You” to your to-do list. We binged it over a weekend and it’s SO GOOD. It features Penn Badgley and after just re-watching the entire Gossp Girl series recently, it was good to see him again. And also creepy. Very, very creepy. Worth the watch for sure.

OPI’s “funny bunny” was one of my favorite nail colors of all time and I guess I had trouble finding it over the last few years and stopped wearing it. I realized I could (duh!) just order it from amazon! It’s a white but ever-so-slightly pink

I ordered the cutest children’s book for Harper and Lincoln, not realizing it was actually a story about the trailblazing Disney artist Mary Blair! It ends with her creating the “It’s a small world” ride which we were just on last month and the kids adored this colorful, vibrant book! The illustrations are beautiful.

Did you just write about decluttering then talk about buying nail polish, books and leggings?
Hi Emilie! De-cluttering and buying things aren’t two mutually exclusive concepts. Getting rid of things you don’t need, that are worn out, don’t fit anymore, etc, is part of life.
Thanks for the links to some other blogs – I really enjoyed this ‘snapshot’ and reading some blogs I haven’t come across before. 🙂
