Happy Monday! Today’s post is a break down of my latest trunk from Trunk Club. Trunk Club is personalized styling service I use from time to time to refresh my wardrobe. If you want to read more about Trunk Club check out this post! You can sign up for Trunk Club here (I will get a small referral fee if you do – and you can also make a referral fee for referring your friends to the service!)
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, so you’ll find that the brands of clothing, accessories and shoes available are similar to what you’d see at Nordstrom (one of my favorite places to shop). Below are the items from my most recent trunk!
Square neck ruffle blouse: Size small
I love the style, color and details of this top. In particular the bottom of the sleeves is so pretty and feminine. I did find the shoulder area to fit me slightly oddly, perhaps due to the placement of the elastic. Having said this, it’s a beautiful top.Free People Tangerine Tee – size small
FP makes the best tees and this one is sooo soft. The white is a tiny bit sheer, but I don’t mind it! I was wear a light pink bra under it, but with a nude one, I doubt it would be noticeable. I love the double layer peplum hem and it has the little thumb holes too!Knit top – size small
This top hit me a little oddly on the chest and it’s more fitted than what I’m used to wearing. The fabric is very soft and has a good amount of stretch.Black blazer – size small
If you’re in the market for a black blazer, I couldn’t recommend this one more. It fits so beautifully and it’s a great length if you’re taller like me. I love the wal the collar drapes and the sleeves are nice and long.Helly Hansen raincoat – size small
I almost didn’t open this package. The coat was SO white and I just couldn’t imagine it on. But I’m glad I tried it on because it’s beautiful. It has rose gold buttons and the sleeves are a super light gray. This jacket was a tough one for me – I love the style and fit, but I couldn’t picture going into fall and winter with a bright white raincoat. It does come in other colors, I think I was hoping for an olive color but they don’t have that. What do you guys think?
Blush raincoat – size small
I loved the color of this jacket and think it looks cute on, but I loved the fit of the HH one above so much more, that I couldn’t keep this one.Tory Burch rosalind flats – size 10.5
I hate spending a lot on shoes. There are very few shoes I’ve spent more on…but these ones are so pretty I couldn’t imagine sending them back. In general, I prefer heels because they’re more comfortable IMO, but these are so cute for work (and even with jeans!) and the bow is perfection.
J.Crew pajamas – size medium
I wear these PJ sets to bed every night. I usually wait until the go on sale (they always do) but this print is so cute! I sent them back because they feel really summery and I know I’ll want to get a Christmas-y pair soon. I always order these in a medium – the shorts are a little loose, but I like them that way since they’re on the shorter side.Gal Meets Glam dress – size 4
I love this dress – it’s the perfect length and I love the neckline. I did have a little extra room in the waist but not sure if I could fit into a 2. I do have another navy dress I love in my closet, so I didn’t feel compelled to keep it and get it altered, but it’s a great pick and super high quality (heavier fabric).Gal Meets Glam dress – size 4
This dress has such a flirty skirt and is super flattering overall. I love the sleeve length – her line of dresses are so great for both the office if you have a more formal work environment or for special ecents. Gal Meets Galm dress– size 4
This dress ended up being my favorite of the bunch! I don’t own anything this color and I loved the style and fit. I don’t wear dresses a ton anymore and don’t have any special events coming up, so it didn’t feel like a justified purchase right now…but if you’re in the market for a dress, I highly recommend the GMG line. Classic, feminine, high-quality dresses.Lively bra -TTS
The last item from my trunk was a Lively bra. I’ve been wanting to try this brand for some time and I’ve been wearing it all day and really like it!
The last two items aren’t from my trunk, but from the Shopbop sale. I think I’m sending both items back. This is why I love ordering clothes online – I can try them on multiple times before making a decision. The sweater I found the sleeve length to be a little awkward on me and the overalls I don’t know I’d get enough wear out of them to justify the cost. They’re cute, but I can’t see myself reaching for them and I love wearing my AG jeans on weekends.
S H O P T H I S P O S T
Such cute things! I also got the Free People top in my Trunk (coming tomorrow) but in black and white striped. I have the hardest time with the fit of FP items so I’m really hoping it fits! Normally, I’d be more excited for my trunk but I just got a new stylist (not sure if mine left or her workload got adjusted) and she just did not hit the mark besides items I specifically asked for (like Caslon booties and that FP tee). Sigh.
I’m so hard on my shoes and hate paying a lot, too, but those are too adorable for words! A must-keep for sure!
I hope the FP tee works well for you! I kept the flats – they’re too cute not to!
Oooo. I LOVE that white raincoat. It’s so unique!
