BACK TO SCHOOL
Harper starts kindergarten on Monday and Lincoln is moving to the three year old room! Needless to say, I’ll be a bit of a mess. I got the kids new backpacks – Harper’s is here and Lincoln’s is here.
LEOPARD SWEATER
This is one of those cardigans that’s going to sell out. It’s a great length, beautiful pattern and the perfect way to add a little fun to your work outfits (or for everyday casual outfits – jeans, converse and a cute tee). See more cute leo
pard options here.
BIG BOY ROOM
Lincolns duvet cover and euro pillows came in last week and they’re perfect! I adore the french blue color – it’s hard to find and this combo is so clean and fresh looking! Exactly what I pictured for the space. I’m still trying to figure out where everything in the room will go and have to re-hang the art. I’m also looking to get new curtains and I may wallpaper one of his walls…we shall see!
THE PERFECT BLAZER
This white blazer (it also comes in black) is perfection! It’s made of a stretchy yet structured sweatshirt-like material so it’s so comfy but doesn’t look like it is. The lining is white with tiny black polka dots – such a great touch. It’s just under $100 and I keep it at my desk so that I can throw it on for meetings when I want to look a little more polished. My favorite work pants are here.
Have a great weekend!
I mean no shade or disrespect with this question, what makes those backpacks worth $70? I believe in quality over quantity, that would just be a big expense for kindergarten and day care backpacks, but perhaps there’s something I’m missing about them. Thanks!!!!
Lincoln’s backpack is waterproof and excellent for travel. We have another we use for travel and it’s great so I thought it would be a wonderful backpack for school since the quality is so good.
STATE has a great mission- and I like supporting a brand that’s giving back- info from their website here:STATE was created to address the immediate needs of local children living with challenging – and in some cases critical – circumstances.
For every STATE bag purchased, STATE hand-delivers a backpack – packed with essential tools for success – to a local child in need; but our commitment goes beyond simply a material donation.
STATE Bags is proud to be a Benefit Corporation, accompanied by fellow companies creating public significance by having a material, positive impact on society.
The STATE Mission: To make beautiful, well-made, inclusively cool product while using the power of business to give back and shift narratives around social injustices.
I have become a true convert in paying for quality when it comes to certain items, and bags are definitely high on the list. Zippers get so much wear and use, and cheap ones inevitably break. Linings rip. I love the mission of these bags too!!
