Ever since I had children, I think I have way more fun shopping for them than I do for myself — especially when it comes to festive holiday outfits!
I picked up the cutest sparkle peplum tunic for Harper at Nordstrom recently — it also comes in sparkly red and ivory. Harper said this tunic reminded her of Elsa, so I basically felt like mom of the year, haha!Nordstrom has so many festive casual-wear outfits for little girls right now, so I’m sharing some of my favorites below (stay tuned for a post next week on dressier holiday looks for boys and girls). I love the variety of brands they offer (with free shipping and returns) — my favorites include Tucker + Tate , Boden, Peek and Tea Collection.
What I love about these outfits is that they’re easy to wear anywhere — to preschool, play dates, the park and much more. They’re stylish but still comfortable — the velvet leggings are a favorite because they’re neutral and pair with everything, but they’re also so fun for the holidays. I’ve been purchasing velvet items for myself recently too, including this velvet tank.

I also have to talk about hunter boots for toddlers. I feel like every toddler needs a pair of these (and I’m also mildly obsessed with the yellow ones right now). They’re so versatile and from my experience kids LOVE wearing boots. They even sell warmth liners for them if you live in a colder climate. Harper has navy and red ones that I’m going to pass down to Lincoln when he’s older and I’m going to get her the pink ones when she grows out of these (she had pink ones when she was younger — we’ve literally had Hunters since she could walk, basically). We usually buy them a size up so they last longer and because kids tend to wear thicker socks with them. I also love these toddler UGGS if you need a higher level of warmth.
Happy (Holiday) Shopping!

Super cute and fun outfit suggestions! Thanks. Would also be curious to know if you dress Harper in tights very often, and if you’ve found a brand that doesn’t rip easily? And, I agree with you about how cute and wonderful Hunter boots and Uggs are for children. They’re certainly a splurge, but I refer to them as “preventative medicine” since they keep kids warm and dry!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
