When this white eyelet top arrived in the mail, I was seriously taken aback by how gorgeous it was. I’m always skeptical of shirt length when I order online, so when I saw that this one looked longer on the model, I took a chance and I’m glad I did.
It’s made of a lightweight cotton and lined in the torso area, so it’s not at all see through except for in the eyelet details where you want it to be. Mine is a s/m and it’s currently on sale for $39 down from $54. For reference I am 5’10 and usually wear a size 4 and this size is perfect on me.white eyelet top (c/o) | raw ankle hem jeans on sale | sunnies | shoes | clutch (I also love this nude Tory Burch bag and this one, both part of the Nsale!) | earrings

Hi Veronika,
Long time follower here and I just caught up on your last few posts. For some reason I am not able to comment on your previous post but wanted to speak here. While I agree that the forums can be harshly critical, particular in regards to family and child rearing (which are nobodys business but your own), I do think it is very disingenuous for you completely disregard the online bullying you yourself have participated in. I think many of us are long time followers from your Knot and Pandace days and remember quite a few of the comments you have made to participants in those forums, some of which were not in defense. I wish that you would have spoken honestly and owned up to making those mistakes in the past instead of painting a picture as if you are above all of this.
Hope you post this comment and reply. I really do think you facilitating this conversation has been great and have allowed your followers to speak frankly in a respectful manner.
Cheers,
Kieran
I did “own up to it” in my post.
I said “I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. I have regrets and have said and done things I’m not proud of in life, just as all humans have.”
If you are reffering to one incident on the knot that is often cited, where another posted called me stupid (which is far worse of an insult than what I said) and then I told her to “spend her time more productively, such as running on a treadmill,” then yes, that comment I said about 10 years ago is something that I am not proud of, even if it was said back to someone who called me stupid. I was sinking down to that person’s level, for sure and I have grown a lot since then. I’m not sure what other examples you have, since most people would agree that I was attacked pretty relentlessly on those boards, not the other way around.
Many people throughout the years, even those that are not my biggest fans, have said that I’ve always responded as gracefully as possible, and that they would not be capable of the same if it was them on the receiving end of those comments. I guess I tried to learn from my past mistake of lowering myself to someone’s level and recognizing that you can’t please everyone.
Hi Veronika – I hope you don’t take this as a personal attack or cyber bullying (I truly don’t intend to hurt your feelings), but I wanted to share one of the reasons I’ve lost interest in your blog. MANY of your outfit photos lately have been just a white or light blue top. I didn’t go back and count, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more than 10 blue/white tops in the last month or two. After awhile, I lost interest in seeing so many similar tops with jeans.
I’ve also noticed the tops often appear very wrinkled. This didn’t used to bother me (no judging here – I hate ironing), but it has started to feel like maybe you just order a bunch of blue/white tops, take them out of their box, throw them on, take photos, and put them back in the box to return – rather than actually keeping and wearing most of them. I guess there’s nothing actually wrong with doing that (and of course, I don’t know that to be true, so I could certainly be wrong), but it just feels disingenuous to me. At the very least, it has bored me a bit. You have every right to post whatever you want on your blog, of course, but I wanted to share my opinion.
One more thing I want to mention: I think your audience would love to see you do something different with your hair. That’s totally up to you, of course, and we readers would absolutely be wrong to say anything disparaging about your hair or how you choose to style it. However, I think your audience would jump up and down cheering if you styled your hair in a simple updo, or even considered a new cut and/or style. I personally think a fresh, clean, lightweight hair look for summer would look wonderful on you.
Thanks for taking the time to read – I honestly hope I have not offended you!
Hi there! You didn’t offend me. Everyone has the choice to consume content they enjoy.
I do wear the clothes I post — I’m starting to share instagram stories of my daily outfits so people can see how I wear different pieces I showcase to the office. I’m really into blue and white right now, so I’ve been buying a lot of those colors. Some bloggers, like Carly Cristman, for example, wear only a few colors and some people are into it, and others find it boring. I just want to share the things I purchase and enjoy with readers who like my style picks/recommendations and make shopping easier for them.
As for my hair, I cut it a few years ago and didn’t like it as much so I went back to having it a little longer. I think with my height, it looks more blanaced to me. I’m glad you think it would look great styled or cut another way, but I’m happy with it the way it is. Most bloggers I follow wear their hair the same way 99% of the time, I asumme because it’s how they feel the most beautiful 🙂
I definitely think showing how you actually style items when out and about (to the office, on the weekend, etc) would make the content more relatable. I agree with the above comment that it does sometimes seem like the posts are nearly identical each day, with only the top changing. That might be why some others mentioned they felt the affiliate links came across as money hungry.
Hi Kat!
If I wore my work pants which are basically skinny dress pants that all look the same, I think people would get tired of that too.
Back when I used to always wear pencil skirts, people complained that I was boring because I always wore pencil skirts. People complain about bloggers all the time for wearing the “same variation of outfit” (skinny pants and looser tops). That’s what is trendy right now.
I wear the jeans because they basically go with everything and I love the style and fit of them.
I really don’t care if someone feels I’m “money hungry” because I share my favorite shopping finds. I’ve been doing it for years, the majority of which I wasn’t making a cent. I work hard on my blog and if I can make some money from it too, that’s great. I’m proud of my blog and what it has become. If someone doesn’t like my content then they’re welcome not to read it.
Have a nice evening,
-Veronika
Yikes! Good to know.
Here’s the thing- I’m getting a handful of comments on my posts telling me they don’t like XYZ or to change XYZ, but I love this blog and what I do here, so I’m sharing what I want to.
There are comments here from several people saying they no longer like my content or wish I would present it differently, but there are also thousands of people who like it the way it is. At the end of the day I’m doing what works for me, my schedule and my preferences. That’s why I say that people read blogs by choice and I invite them to find content they enjoy consuming if my blog is no longer a place for that.
Funny, I’m not seeing many of the “thousands of people who like the way it is” chiming in here.
Hi Amy!
I have tons of readers who messaged me via DM on Instagram after my post went live last week telling me they like and appreciate my content and following me. My reader survey also had over 500 responses with a large majority of them being positive feedback. Also, numbers don’t lie. If people didn’t like my content, my blog would have no traffic and I would be selling nothing.
All the best,
-Veronika
Definitely understand where you’re coming from, but no need to be nasty about it. At the end of the day, readers are what make it possible for you to have a profitable blog.
How about accepting feedback (that you solicited with a survey) with a little more grace and humor? Or if not possible, no response at all. Not everything has to be so defensive.
Enjoy your blog & have been following for a long time, but these responses are disheartening.
Hi Jen!
My post from last week was not soliciting feedback about how I can improve my blog. My reader survery took place in January and I took a lot of that feedback to heart and have made the adjustments I’m able to. I don’t feel I’m being nasty about the feedback I’m getting — it’s just that at some point, I can’t do or be what some people want me to be. People sending message after message telling me that I don’t work hard enough on my blog, that I should change how I do things, consider changing my appearance, etc…it just isn’t something I want to do so I’m being honest about that. I’m happy with how things are and if someone doesn’t like my content anymore, I’m saying that’s OK. People should invest time into consuming content they enjoy.
I’m so thankful for my readers and many of them who contact me on a regular basis know this because I always take the time to respond to them. I’ve built a wonderful community over these years, but I also understand if someone is no longer into it.
Have a nice evening!

Hello fellow Canadian!! Been following for a few years now! 🙂 LOVE this top! Looks so lovely…wonder if it would work on a very short and tiny frame?
And now my ‘two cents’ as everyone seems to want to tell you something these days….your content and style (home, wardrobe, etc) have changed and evolved. Of course they have!!!! Like the rest of us! Except we don’t blog so we can’t get criticized for that.
I too like similar tops, usually in navy or white and I love eyelet details! No complaints from me about your blog! I just wish I was bold enough to wear long earrings like you do and to also spend more money on lovely purses….I hardly ever shop or splurge but love your pink Kate Spade bag, so maybe I’ll need to!!
Keep up the good work. There has been a lot of commentary about your blog lately that likely has left you rattled and unsettled. I’m sorry if you’ve had some low days while you analyze these comments. People would NEVER say these things to your face but the world of ‘internet’ makes it easy to type ‘to the point’ comments on a computer screen.
So…big hugs from Canada. 🙂 Love your blog! I’ve tried following others but always come back to yours! 🙂
-E
Thanks for your comment Estelle and thank you for reading!
🙂 love that you’re in Canada too!
I’m not sure if this top would would on a Petite frame to be honest- is so voluminous. But I do have another similar one I’m posting this week that may be a better fit!
