Favorite Nordstrom Anniversay Sale Finds: The Floral Dress + Pleated Skirt

It’s the day many of you have been waiting for – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale public access has finally begun and today I’m sharing two feminine outfits that are versatile enough to wear through summer and fall. Tomorrow’s post will be all about the best tops of the sale with try-ons and notes on sizing, etc. (it will be a mix of sweaters, workout tops and tees, so dont forget to check back). Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns, as always and items will sell out fast— so shop ASAP before the most popular items are out of stock again!

This black floral print maxi dress sold out during early access, but it’s back and it’s one of the cutest $35 dresses I’ve ever seen (mine is a size small). It has pretty flutter sleeves, a v-back and a slit at the front to show a little leg (if you want to). This dress is perfect for now, but its dark color and not-too-summery florals make it a versatile piece that effortlessly transitions into fall. Adding a moto jacket like this one (love the way it contrasts with the feminine dress) or a long cardigan like this one for just $31 for cooler temperatures allows you to wear the dress well into fall. You could also pair it with open-toe booties as another option to sandals. Jeans, dressier outfits (it gives them a little edge), the skinny pants you wear to work, anything goes! This black one with gold hardware and this brown suede one (the same style and brand I’m wearing) are my favorites from the sale. I’ve knotted it to show the high-waist of the skirt and I love how playful it looks.

Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale includes so many cute pleated midi skirts (and one pleated mini skirt) at various price points. I like this one best for the price point ($35) and think the pleated midi skirt is going to be a trend we see well into fall.

I also styled the skirt with this off-the-shoulder top by Free People (also part of the sale) and found it to be a perfect evening or date night look. Add a cute cross body bag (this one is a fave) and you’re all set!
