Favorite Summer Outfits for Toddlers

Today I’m sharing more of my favorite kids clothes for summer from Nordstrom (see my first post here) – from everyday clothing they can wear for play to some dresses that can work for special occasions and the playground alike.

Peplum is a trend that has been huge this year and we love this pink peplum tee that comes in two other colors. I paired it with some floral print chambray shorts – they have the cutest little pocket detail. Paired with birkenstock sandals, this outfit is perfect for outdoor play.

Lincoln’s  tea colletion bug tee is currently sold out, but Nordstrom carries so many adorable tees for little boys. I’m really picky about graphic tees for kids, but this design is colorful, creative and doesn’t look too cartoonish. The deep green color is also a nice addition to the sea of blue, navy, grey and olive and white we have. Lincoln’s adidas superstar sneakers, as I mentioned last week, a favorite. Not only are they super easy to get on, Adidas kids shoes are created with “orthodic” inserts that really support their little feet. I’m tempted to get matching ones for the entire family (seriously – they have women’s and men’s versions too).

Harper is in a dress phase right now so I love finding ones for her that are high quality so they retain their look even after many (many) washes. Two dresses we love that I found at Nordstrom are by Mini Boden – this pink gingham one and this seersucker blue one with yellow detailing and a peter pan collar (swoon!) I love that Nordstrom carries Mini Boden since they offer free shipping and a curated selection from the collection. Both dresses are ones I’ve dressed Harper in for special occasions and also just day-to-day because I know they’ll withstand a busy day at preschool.  I can’t believe how big the kids are looking at these photos! Harper is wearing 5T and Lincoln is in 2T. By the way, if you’re unsure about sizes, Nordstrom offers free shipping + returns (no minimums), so no worries if something doesn’t fit.
