The Coziest Sweater - Veronika's Blushing

You know what I love? When it’s officially the time of year where I can confidently wake up, select a sweater from my closet to wear and know that I won’t melt by noon.

Houston is officially on the receiving end of somewhat reliable cooler temperatures from mother nature and this Canadian couldn’t be any happier. Now, don’t get me wrong— I don’t miss snow, sleet and ice, but I do miss the sparkle of freshly fallen snow, skiing and wearing cozy sweaters longer than a few months of the year.

I ordered this oversized funnel neck sweater from TopShop at Nordstrom recently and believe me when I tell you it’s SO soft and cozy. This can’t be said for all sweaters so it’s a bonus that this one is both chic and incredibly soft.

The sweater has a ribbed texture, funnel neck and side slits (mine is a size 6 US but you could order a size up if you wanted a really slouchy look). I wanted to be able to wear mine to work so I opted for one that was a little loose but not like on the model.

I wore this sweater to the office yesterday and two of my co-workers immediately asked me for the link so they could buy it too! I will say I think this sweater looks even better in person than it photographs.

I’m wearing my AG legging jeans, but I think these black ripped skinny jeans by TopShop are one of the most versatile pair of jeans you can add to your collection and they’re just $70 which is a great price point. I have tried these on and I recommend you size up in them.

I also picked up a plaid triangle scarf from Nordstrom recently and what’s great about this one is that it’s actually not as bulky as a blanket scarf since it’s cut in a triangle so there’s no folding and figuring out how to wear it. Plus, on milder days when you don’t need as much warmth but want to add a little color or pattern to your outfit, it’s the perfect addition.

I also ordered this marled grey sweater with lace detailing at the v-neckline but unfortunately it’s sold out! This one is almost identical without the trim!
