Gingham & Scallops - Veronika's Blushing

The week of Christmas is hectic for everyone and I’m working all week so I tried to use this weekend to wrap up all of my wrapping (no pun intended) and finish some last-minute shopping (from the comfort of my newly-stuffed couch, of course— more on that in a future post).

I’m sharing with you today two new tops I purchased at Nordstrom recently that are SO cute! This gingham top from TopShop at Norstrom and this scalloped top, also from TopShop arrived in the mail this week (#onlineshoppingforthewin) and this gingham top especially has the cutest fit and tie detail on the sleeve. I love gingham and this classic black and white is a perfect addition to my closet.

I love that I can wear this top on weekends or to the office. It would even look great under a blazer or cardigan (though, I love it on its own since the sleeve detail is so pretty). Mine is a size 6, which fits like a US size 2-4– it has a looser fit but isn’t too boxy. The great thing about Nordstrom is that shipping and returns are free, so when you’re buying from a brand you haven’t tried before, you won’t have to worry!

In these photos, I’m wearing MAC “snob,” one of my favorite lip colors. I have both the lipstick and gloss and it’s such a great combo! Though most would say it’s a summer color, I wear it year-round! It’s kind of that perfect, milky, cool-toned pink.

I also added this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff fringe scarf to my outfit (also from Nordstrom) and I’ve been wearing it like crazy since I got it! It’s seriously so cute worn loose or wrapped around your neck so the ends are hanging on either side. The color is also gorgeous— love how feminine it is.
The scalloped top is cropped, so with being 5’10, it’s the perfect top to wear with some of my high-waisted pencil skirts. This top is just $25 and it so cute against a contrasting color so you can really see the scalloped detail. Mine is a size 6 (fits like a US 2-4).
