I totally forgot to blog my last StitchFix order (#fail— though you may have watched on Snapchat— I kept two of the sweaters). I decided to wait until right before I headed back to work for my next fix so I could request some new work tops.
I asked my stylist to send me some office-friendly cooler-weather tops and that I was also open to getting a new blanket scarf (because, can you really have too many?)
The sweater I kept from the fix is this textured black one. It’s quite fitted but also very stretchy and super long. I think it would look great with a dress shirt under it too! This zip-back sweater is pretty awesome—but the look was so similar to this top I got recently that I couldn’t justify keeping it. It was also a tad too short at the front. My stylist definitely got it right from a style point of view though!
This shirt was just okay so I decided to pass. I have a lot of black tops and didn’t feel it would be a strong addition to my closet. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the roll tab sleeves on it.
I liked the silhouette of this blouse but the print didn’t do it for me. It’s little birds if you can’t tell from the photo.
Lastly, this gorgeous blanket scarf is totally on point—but I already own it! My stylist picked out exactly what I would have wanted—so much so that it’s already in my closet! Maybe I should have kept it as backup, LOL!
I hope you liked this review! StitchFix is an online service where you create a style profile and then a stylist selects five pieces for you (including accessories if you like!) based on your style profile and Pinterest boards. You can set it up monthly or just request a “fix” whenever you like. There is no obligation to order a certain amount of fixes and you can cancel automatic fixes at any time. You can sign up here if you’d like to try this service!
The thing I like most about StitchFix is the surprise element of what my stylist sends as well as the ability to try all of the items on in the comfort of my own home. I also like that you can send a note to your stylist each month— for example if you need a dress for an event or you’re pregnant (they have many maternity options now!) You can get as specific as what colors you’d like in your fix (maybe you need more printed or brightly colored tops, or maybe neutrals are what work best for you). Most of the time, I keep 1-2 items from each fix but you do get a 25 percent discount on your total order if you keep all five.
Have a great week!
*This post contains a referral link. If you sign up for a fix, I receive a small commission. However, I was not compensated for this post and am always honest about which pieces I keep/send back and purchases are made with my own money.
I love the first sweater that you kept – it looks great on you! I have a friend who works as a stylist for Stitch-Fix and loves it – sounds like an awesome company! And just as a side note – you look so incredible for just a few months postpartum! I hope you are feeling as great as you look! I’m due this week with my #2 and you give me hope I can wear my bathing suit in 2 months when we head to Cali on vacation!!

Thanks Colleen! I still have 8-10 lbs to lose, but breastfeeding has helped me drop most of the weight, like last time. It took me a good 6 months to lose it all but that’s A-OK 🙂
Have a great time on your trip and hope #2’s arrival goes smoothly 🙂
I have heard mixed reviews about Stitch Fix, but your stylist picked some great items. I absolutely adore that blanket scarf – so pretty! I wish they had something similar in Australia x

I try to be really specific in my notes. I have gotten fixes before where I didn’t keep anything. I try to make my notes detailed and specify things like colors, fabrics, etc. I find that I’m getting better fixes since I started to be as specific as possible!
You look great! Do you have the style card that tells what that sweater (black) is called? I want to request it!

The sweater looks very good on you! I’m thinking to signup. If i may ask what is the general pricing of the items you pick!
Thnaks
StitchFix is not a discount service, so the items range from $40 for something like a simple top to $58 or so for a blouse and $68-$78 for sweaters, jackets, some jeans, etc. I sometimes do think the prices are a little high for certain items, and I always provide that feedback when I check out (everytime you are done with your fix, you fill out a survey on each item— the style, the fit, the cost, etc. so that your stylist knows what styles you like and whether or not you thought the prices were fair.
Can you tell me the brand and style name of the black sweater? I’d like to request it.
I shared it in one of the previous comments 🙂

I shared your review today on Stitch Fix Reviews – https://www.facebook.com/stitchfixreviews/
I’ve seen so many reviews of Stitch Fix and is so tempting to try this! I am a professional as well. Even though my kids are actually your age. LOL. I’m still working and this seems so fun for them to send you things to try on. The days fly by and I do most of my shopping online as I rest on the weekends. Thanks for sharing this!
I hope you like it if you end up trying it! I like the surprise and trying things on at home!
