Happy Sunday!
I’m feeling a little under the weather and I’m trying to drink lots of hot tea and taking Tylenol for my sinus pain. I feel like I got sick pretty quickly after returning to work the last time around, so, par for the course. I guess it’s time to dig out my Neti-pot, huh?
Things I loved this weekend…
A happy mail day
I love checking the mail and this week didn’t disappoint with these pretty gold packages. I ordered Harper a lace heart headband from Megan’s Willow Crowns Valentine’s day capsule collection. They also have these adorable leather heart clips which are now a permanent addition to the shop! Baby Bands Bowtastic sent me these pretty gold hangers. Though they’re functional as actual hangers, I love using them in a little girl’s room or playroom as decor (you can display a special dress or tutu) and you can even hang a cute art print using the hanger. They’re just precious!

A much-needed trip to Target
Target on a Saturday night sipping a coconut milk latte is pretty much my “me time” heaven.
In addition to stocking up on some household items and foods (and three packs of family-sized Oreos), I picked up some other fun things…like this Mongolian fur pillow in a gorgeous blush rose color. The rug is Safavieh and available here.
I’ve been looking for a baby-pink duvet cover for Harper’s room for quite some time. I really wanted a very soft, pastel light pinkand hadn’t ever found the right color. Most were too dark, too rosy or too bubblegum. But this shabby chic quilt is just perfection. It’s a pale pastel shade of baby pink and looks beautiful and crisp against her mint green walls. I will share more photos when the bed is made! The color actually reminds me of the Essie polish “Fiji” or “minimalistic.”
Though it looks like Target is still getting rid of holiday stock, there were some new dresses in the toddler section and for $11 I couldn’t resist this boat dress and the yellow striped dress with a heart.
Visits from friends
Megan visited today and met Lincoln/saw the new house for the first time! Lincoln was so smiley and sweet with her and in such a great mood during her visit which is always nice (though don’t be fooled, a stage five meltdown began the moment she left). Also, he looks HUGE in her arms. Holy moly this baby is growing fast!
Megan brought her camera and took these precious photos! She’s so talented with her camera. I have a DSLR I never use anymore and as soon as she left I purchased an air card she recommended so that I could easily send the photos I take to my phone in hopes I’ll use my good camera more often (though I think iPhones have great cameras too!)
Family moments
I’m so thankful that we live in a day and age where it’s so easy to capture moments and memories. If you follow me on Snapchat, you see little glimpses into our weekend and these are a few of my favorite shots…
Harper is currently on a pants strike. She will not wear pants at home. It started when we started potty training more seriously and it does make things easier, so I guess I’m not complaining!
As I mentioned in his three-month post, I continue to be smitted with this sweet little babe and his beautiful little face.
Celebrating friends…
Tomorrow is my co-worker (and one of my closest friends) Lindsey’s 30th birthday (and also her twin’s!) Tonight I attended a party hosted by their parents complete with taco and ice ceam food trucks (best idea ever!) She also ran the Houston half marathon today— so proud of what she’s accomplished! Happy birthday Linds!
I wore my new LOFT top to the party— it’s so comfy! Since it was in a tent outside, I also wore my BR trench coat.top | pants | scarf
I hope your weekend was amazing!
Beautiful pictures of the kids!! Would you recommend the coconut lattes over almond milk lattes?! I drink the unsweetened almond milk at home with my coffee but haven’t tried the coconut milk in my latte yet! I’m on day 13 of no dairy and I’m hoping to see an improvement soon, but nothing yet. ?
My local Starbucks doesn’t offer almond milk— but I love the coconut milk. I use almond milk and almond milk creamer at home as well 🙂
Honeslty it took over 8 weeks to see improvement in Lincoln and he still has episodes sometimes. It’s tough!
I love those hangers! Those would be perfect for my daughter’s growing collection of princess dresses! And Lincoln’s thighs! I wish I could gush over mine the same way 😉
Oh my goodness I can’t get over how sweet little Lincoln is getting, I mean those eyelashes! Glad you guys had a great weekend 🙂
Thank you for sharing the pink quilt. I’m decorating my daughters room in gray and pink. You’re so right how pale pink can be hard to find. I’m having the same issue.
I’m so glad you like it! It’s the perfect shade— it has the same pastel tone as the mint walls so it is such a beautiful complement to the space 🙂
In the picture of you and Harper in your room (where she’s looking at the mirror), is that a rug or carpet? Where is it from?
Thank you,
Christina
It’s our carpet. It’s the berber kind 🙂
