Our Christmas cards from Minted came in and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! The scalloped edges and metallic gold lettering are so pretty. Our family photo session may have been a little crazy, but everyone is (sort of) looking at the camera. Kind of.
If you didn’t get a chance to create a holiday card— a New Year’s card is a great option!
On Friday night I went out for dinner with a lovely group of ladies and it felt SO good to do the whole hair/makeup thing and wear clothes that were not yoga pants and/or pajamas with the word “PINK” written on the butt in hot pink letters (yes, they’re about four years old and yes, I still own and wear them in the comfort of my own home, shamefully so).
When I put my heels on, I was all “what is this sensation?” since I’ve basically lived in my converse shoes for the last couple of months. It felt good to feel good.
I pulled this shot from my SnapChat so apologies for the poor quality, but this snowglobe sweater is amazing. I’m so glad I purchased it. It’s currently 20% off and you can buy it here.snowglobe sweater | cords | heels (nearly identical for 30% off!)
On Saturday morning we went to our friend’s annual Christmas party and gift exchange and it was so fun! We also had Harper and Cami take a photo together in the same spot as the previous year. Look at those happy faces (there was most def. a meltdown about 10 mins after this photo because it was past nap time and “I’m still playing right now mommy.”)
I am not exaggerating when I say that I’m obsessed with my new Tory Burch mini tote. It’s the perfect size and the color is so fun. I paired it with a plaid blanket scarf the other day and I just love this combo. It is on major sale in several colors right now too!
similar scarf & another option for $20 | bag (on mega sale in several colors—I love the pink!) | shoes (I have the slip-on ones and they are awesome!)
I also have to mention this gingham pouch—it’s a great size for anything you need to keep stored in your purse- makeup, coupons, pacifiers, ha! It’s currently on sale plus an additional 25% off! I loved it so much I even got one for a friend as a gift. pouch | red bow | toddler hair clips (glitter and heart)
Another cold-weather obsession is “the blogger scarf” (because everyone with a blog has it). They just re-stocked it, and you can get it here. It’s massive and the color combo is so different than most blanket scarves. I wear it constantly! Please note it’s large enough to use as an actual blanket. Ha.
I know everyone’s local Homegoods store carries different stock, but I scored so many great items there today I couldn’t resist sharing and over-saturating my IG feed with them.
It’s not pictured below, but in addition to these items I scored a mirror that is very similar to the style and dimensions of the Pottery Barn mirrors in our master. I seriously wish they had been there months ago when I went looking because the mirror was such a steal! I’m going to use it in our powder room and move the mirror we have in there somewhere else since once it was hung I didn’t feel the size was a good fit for the space. If you need mirrors similar to ours, check your local store to see if they have the ones similar to the PB ones!
I also got pastel Christmas wrapping paper (will save for next year since our presents are wrapped), a beautiful wreath and pretty baskets with metallic silver woven through them. So pleased with all of my finds! I finally finished Lincoln’s 2-month update that I’ll share next week. I wanted to wait until he had his pediatrician’s appointment and I had my post-surgical appointment.
We’ve had a very rough few days of fussiness and nighttime red-faced, ear-piercing screaming/crying…but we’re thankful he’s been sleeping well in his crib after his nightly freak out (usually 5-6 hours his first stretch). It seems like he just has to get that crying out of his system to fall asleep because he has never not done it post-bath. Sweet boy. I love him so…even when I feel like I will break into tears myself if I have to hear one more minute of it. Hope y’all had a great weekend! Here’s to a week of fun and family as we approach a very special holiday. And for those of you who don’t celebrate or celebrate a different holiday, I send my warmest wishes to you and your families!
Our Homegoods never has anything good but I will have to go look for that mirror. Been looking for one to replace the lame standard one we got from the builder.

Yes!- builder mirrors are the worst! I get that mirrors are pricey, but I wish they would just leave the walls bare and take them out of the price of the house so homeowners can just buy their own (that’s what we did). Much less work than having to rip them off and fix the wall! Good luck finding them. Check Hobby Lobby for some nice ones too!
Luckily our powder room mirror is hung on a wire. Our bathroom mirrors however are another story. I wish I had asked them to texture the whole wall behind it because if we ever decide to remove the whole sheet of mirror only part of the wall will be textured and will mean we’ll either have to have the rest textured if we want to do something similar to what ya’ll did or get one long one long mirror re-hung. But we have to find a mirror first before we start worrying about that.
