Dear Target:
Please stop making so much cute holiday decor. I literally can’t stop myself from buying Christmas stuff to add to our growing collection each year because it seems to get better and better. Their Brights Collection is totally on point this year.
I saw this on Facebook the other day and I’ll let you guess which one I am:
I’ll give you a hint: it’s the man in the green.
I mean, how amazing is this advent calendar? Not only does it match Harper’s room, but it’s absolutely precious. I can’t wait to put little treats in each box and start this holiday tradition with my sweet girl. tree paper advent calendar
I also picked up this pink tree for Harper’s room and a cute little straw cup with snowflakes that was too cute to pass up. bottle brush tree
My husband definitely questioned my sanity when I purchased this throw blanket…but it’s so soft! and it has woven metallic thread through it! and tassels at the bottom! To be fair, I really haven’t purchased a throw blanket in quite some time…though the same can’t be said for decorative pillows. I almost purchased this reindeer pillow for Harper’s room, but I got “the look.” I’m going to have to go back and buy it on a solo trip though…chunky knit metallic throw
We are hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinner in our home this year and I was just smitten with these woven metallic placemats and chargers. They’re so much prettier in real life than how they photograph and they’re inexpensive as well!metallic charger | metallic placemat
Lastly, a visit to the toddler clothing section meant we left with these dresses. I love the tulle skirt on the first dress and the bright purple color of the second dress. They’ll both be perfect with leggings or tights for fall and winter!

Happy shopping! I recommend going alone…and remember this line “oh no honey, that’s from last year…remember it was right over there?” (gesture casually in a nondescript direction). You got this!
PS- this is not a sponsored post, I just have a Christmas decor shopping problem.
Target gets me EVERY time! Last month was cute orange and white chevron print popcorn holders that I filled with candy as gifts to my student assistants. Who knows what November and December will bring in their $1 section! I hope you get lots of solo shopping done in the coming weeks. 😉
I didn’t even check the dollar section this time—but I sure will my next go round! I am cleared to drive now, so the possibilities are endless, haha 🙂
No purchases for little man?? 🙂
I ordered him a bunch of stuff at baby gap recently 🙂 nothing at Target though other than some new pacis, diapers and some Honest brand organic healing balm!
I live in Minneapolis, where Target is like a religion (founded here), and omg do I have a problem! Have you checked out their new Nate Berkus home collection? I love it, I can’t stop!! It might be perfect for some finishing touches on your beautiful new home!

I was SO thrilled a few weeks ago when I saw them setting out a bit of the holiday decor! I’m 110% with you on being on the Elf side of this issue. What an adorable advent calendar!
Thanks for sharing your purchases! I LOL’d at your line on what to say to hubby ~ I’d totally do that too! I love that advent calendar, and the tradition will be one that Harper will remember fondly =)
The calendar is so cute! I need to get to Target asap to check out the decorations before everything sells out!
Yes! Go soon— they don’t keep a ton of stock it seems (unless they replenish it constantly).
