We had the most laid-back weekend and it was great! Just full of family time and the funniest little moments with Harper. She makes us laugh constantly during our little conversations. This is without a doubt the best age.
Harper also started to say “why?” and “but why?” to just about everything this week, so that’s been fun (sometimes).
We’re wrapping up our last couple of weeks at Little Gym and Harper is still loving it so much. I’d like to start her in swimming lessons again so we’ll probably do that next. At her age, the lessons don’t require a parent in the pool, so it will be perfect to take her when baby brother is here— we can watch from the viewing section!

How cute is this new bow that came in from free babes? I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and it was worth the wait! I love the style of these bows and they’re amazing quality.
Today we visited my in-laws as they had just returned from a two-week vacation. Harper was so excited and we had a blast at the pool together.
I’m now in kind of a food coma from the amazing dinner we had from Carrabbas.
Hope y’all had an amazing weekend!
I love the new design of the blog! Your weekend posts are my favorite, have a great week! 🙂
Thank you so very much Anabel! I am really loving the commenting system too— so much easier to use! Thanks for reading!
I have to admit how jealous I am that you guys live so close to family! I’m counting down the days until we move back to the lower 48 (not that I don’t love Alaska, but this is just insanity!)
Also, I’ve been meaning to reach out to you for restaurant recommendations around Houston? I make a trip or two a year to visit MD Anderson and find I tend to hit my tried and true spots. I love any and all food, so I’m open to anything. 😉
Thanks!
We are very lucky to have some family close by! All of my family is in Canada and Slovakia so it’s nice Kevin’s parents are near by 🙂
I am definitely not as savvy as I once was about the trendy restaurants here— but I’ recently ate at SalAir seafood kitchen and it was good! I’ve also heard great things about Cultivare. There’s also a restraurant by us called Liberty Kitchen and it’s awesome 🙂 There’s also a sushi place called Uchi that is very popular. I love Mexican food and really like El Tiempo as well. Check out culturemap.com for great Houston food recommendations- they have lots of reviews and top 10 lists that I bet you’ll find to be helpful. Have a great week!
