Happy Tuesday! I had such an amazing time at the RewardStyle conference last weekend and by far the best part was meeting so many wonderful ladies, including many I have “known” online for years.
The first night of the conference was a welcome party hosted by Stuart Weiztman, poolside at the Joule Hotel. The theme was “resort wear” so I paired my CeCe by Cythia Steffe dress with cobalt woven Tory Burch wedges and a bright pink Kate Spade cross body bag.
I finally got to meet the beautiful Michele (you can find her here on YouTube). She and I actually met via YouTube when I was still making videos and we have so much in common— our daughters are even right around the same age! I also met the lovely MsGoldgirl, Marnie!
I also got to meet fellow Houstonian (and the fittest gal I know) Megan from Honey We’re Home. We have chatted online for years via our blogs and it was so wonderful to finally meet in person and spend time together at the conference!
After the pool party was over, we were starving and a bunch of us headed over to CBD Provisions for a late dinner. That’s where I met some new friends whose blogs I read including Natalie, Courtney, Ashley, Caycee, Ashley, Lindsay, Carly, Desiree, Sheaffer and Cassie. The food was delicious—I highly recommend eating there if you’re in Dallas!
The next day of the conference was focused on education sessions, brand meetings and brand networking. It also included a lunch hosted by BooHoo.com at the Woolworth.
I wore my powder blue CeCe by Cythia Steffe dress and Ivanka Trump heels (in love with these- the run about half a size large FYI!). They’re incredibly flattering and fairly comfortable considering I was walking around a lot that day.
The brands at the conference were so generous and we received some beautiful gifts during the networking portion of the day.
River Island was hosting the party on the lawn that night (the place with the massive eye) and the weather forecast was looking bad, so up went a clear tent before the festivities began. Unfortunately, we ended up having to evacuate the tent because the rain was coming down so hard and there were tornado warnings. Picture a bunch of women, mostly in dresses and high heels, running across the road as fast as possible with umbrellas getting soaked by the water that had already fallen, flooding the streets. I think my shoes are still recovering!
For this party, I wore a bright coral Parker dress with Ivanka Trump wedges. They’re old, but I’ve linked some similar options below!
Friday night was made even better by the fact that I met Anh from 9to5chic. We’ve known each other since our wedding planning days and have kept in touch online over the years. She is sweet and kind and fun and I’m so glad I got to spend time with her!
