I saw a lot of local photographers offering Valentine’s Day mini-sessions, but given that they were 15 minutes long, it was bound to be a hit or miss…(probably miss, based on our last family photo session). Plus, you don’t really need Valentine photos…but they sure are fun to have (pink, hearts and tutus, oh my!)
So over the weekend, Harper’s friend Cami came to our house and Amanda and I set up a little backdrop in Harper’s nursery and it worked out great! Obviously these aren’t on-par with professional photos, but I’m glad we took them and it was a nice addition to our play date. The girls had fun and so did we!
Here are some of my favorite shots:
We just let the girls play, read and pretty much do as they pleased and we got some pretty great shots out of it!
PS- for anyone interested- we made the backdrop by covering Harper’s crib with a white fitted sheet and then draping tulle (the same tulle I used to make the dessert table backdrop for Harper’s first birthday party) over the white sheet. Then, we placed some IKEA fluffy mats over the carpet and added the garland, made by Amanda.
The picture of Harper riding the lamb is the BEST! It's too cute for words!
I love her sweet little smile in it! thank you!
Harper's tutu! I can't get over it, so darn sweet 🙂 I just did a little mini session with Scarlett today! xo
can't wait to see the pics 🙂
Love her floral crown. Gee, I want to get one for MYSELF!!! Lol
And her fluff animals… that rock'in sheep and ostrich …!…!…!
I do have a matching crown to hers— right now they are sitting on the heads of some of her stuffed animals in her nursery 🙂
Adorable photos. Love the backdrops and all the Valentine cuteness!
thanks Chrissy 🙂 <3
Your baby is one of the most adorable babies out there…. but the way you do her hair is really distracting. You seem to be really into fashion and looks, so not sure why you find the need to do pigtails AND a bow! Way too many things going on at once.
I agree..one or the other!!
I completely agree. It's so much.
The flower crown looks kind of off…not sure what it is. Cute idea, though!
Such sweet photos!

Where are the train letters from?
they were a gift- they are from Doodles baby boutique in Houston
Beautiful!!! Such darling photos, and Harper seems so chill all the time….lol, probably because I'm used to my girl being (literally) the most energetic/hyper baby wherever we go?? 😛 And she's definitely starting to look like your twin. I get such a kick out of seeing the similarities in looks+mannerisms in mom and child relationships, hehe.
thank you for your sweet comment 🙂
