We really enjoyed painting these valentines together. Harper was quite a mess at the end of it all— but that’s kind of part of the fun! It was the first time we painted at home (she paints at daycare all the time) so it was wonderful to experience that together.
Harper’s favorite part of painting was pointing to the paper all the paint was on and asking for “more please.” She also pointed to the colors she wanted more of. She cracks me up. At least she said please?
Here’s how our DIY valentines turned out— I added a little giftwrap ribbon from IKEA with a glue gun and a printed note:
And here is the lovely array of valentines we received!:
And of course I stored all of Harper’s valentines in the DIY envelope chair back I made for her a few weeks ago:
I love making valentines and plan to continue the tradition for many years to come! It’s a fun activity that keeps toddlers busy (and I welcome any activity that keeps Harper occupied for a good thirty minutes!)
Thanks to all of the ladies and littles who filled Harper’s Valentine’s Day envelope with lots of love this year!
Have a great week!
The CUTEST – loved doing this with you girls!
Thank you for participating in the exchange! Elin loved her Valentine from Harper!
I think Ez's favorite part of painting was demanding more paint too (he's not as polite as Harper though!) 😉 We loved the card, thanks so much!
Loved these cards! Painting with kids is so much fun! She did a great job! 🙂
Thank you for the card! I love when little ones paint! Thanks, again!
Loved the Valentine you sent Aria! I thought about doing a painted card but opted for the less messy stickers and crayons route. Aria does enjoy the paint though. Harper did a killer job!
So adorable! I painted with Ellie for the first time last week and she had a blast! love these!
Harper did a great job on her Valentines! So sweet! xoxo
You're brave…I don't let my kiddos do much painting at our house. They paint tons at the babysitter's! Love the diy chair back…great idea! I'm just not that crafty:( Thanks for participating with us!
Those turned out so pretty! I think yours might still be making its way here! The exchange was so much fun. Good job on the chair back! I remember our teacher making us those when I was in 5th grade… I loved mine so much. 🙂 ~Ashley
Adorable. You do so many fun activities with Harper. I'm still in love with her little table! Happy Valentines day! xo
So adorable! Your valentines turned out so cute
Awww..Harper is sooo adorable. Love the way she ask you please. Great bonding time!
These are so adorable! We did a similar project in my preschool classroom last week, and the kids loved mixing paint colors to create swirly hearts. Harper looks like she loves painting!
