Hi everyone! Today I’m posting a review of my third StitchFix. For those of you who don’t know about StitchFix, it’s a clothing delivery service where you create an online style profile and then a StitchFix stylist selects items for you by reading your style notes and browsing your Pinterest style boards. Once your fix arrives, you have three days to try on your items and decide what you’ll keep and what to send back. You pay only for the items you keep and there is a 25% discount if you decide to keep all five pieces. Note that this is not a discount service. The price points are usually between $40-$100, depending on the item.
This month, my fix was spot-on. Totally my style and things I would have selected on my own. In fact, it was so my style, that I already owned nearly identical versions of several of the items. It was a bummer to send things back, but at the same time, I felt good about the fact that my stylist really understands what types of items appeal to me and that bodes well for future fixes.
I did have a few sizing issues in this fix and I’ll go into detail about that as I go over each item. The first item I was sent was this black and white striped v-neck top. It has a faux leather trim at the neckline and a slit in the back where the fabric overlaps. I loved this top, but given that I recently purchased a black and white microstripe top from Banana Republic, I couldn’t justify adding a nearly identical piece to my closet.
The second item I received is a cobalt blue top with black lace trim. This top is definitely my style and I loved the feminine lace detailing at the neckline. I did send it back because I received a cobalt blue top with lace cap sleeves in my last fix (see it here) and since they’re both the same color and similar in style, I once again couldn’t justify it.
The third item I was sent is a classic black blazer, but this one was made of a soft, stretchy fabric. I liked the fit and style of the blazer but I already own several blazers, including a black one, so I didn’t need to expand my collection.
I actually really loved these gray jeggings I received. They came in a size four and I could get them on, but they were just too tight. I probably would have kept them in the next size up (and that’s what’s listed in my profile so this may have been a mix-up). I don’t own charcoal gray pants and they would have been a nice addition to my closet.
Finally, I was sent this absolutely stunning blue lace dress. It is just so beautiful and was the perfect length, too. I was even willing to overlook that I own a blue lace dress already (this one, from zara) because this one had a v-neck and long sleeves, so it felt different enough and perfect for cooler weather. As tough as it was, I decided to return it. It arrived in a size small and it just fit. It fit like a glove and I was worried that I wouldn’t be comfortable in it. It does pull a little bit at the chest as you can see in these pictures. I was able to get it fully zipped, but I felt nervous that I wouldn’t wear it as often because it’s so fitted. I requested that they send me a medium in my next fix if it is still available because I love it so much.
Who makes that black and white top? I love it!!

Love that blue dress–could you share who makes it?

You got some really cute items in this fix! I am getting my third box on the 12th, and I can't wait. I am hoping it's a box that I like all five items, so that I can get the discount!
hope you love your next fix!
I haven't signed up yet, but thanks for the honest review of the products! Love that striped top because it's so practical and the peek a boo slit in the back. Also love how they view your Pinterest boards and really try to get to know their customers 🙂

That lace dress! Gorgeous!
All of these items look great on you! I love StitchFix, but I do find that a lot of the items fit oddly on me. Honestly I think it's because my body shape is odd. I think I'm going to try it again once I lose a bit of weight!
I love that you can try everything on and really take the time to evaluate what you like and don't in the comfort of your own home 🙂
I had a great fix this time around too! If the jeans fit a bit better I would kept everything for the first time.
I saw yours! It was good 🙂
This is unrelated..but are they gray malin's pictures on the wall? If so, would you share which ones you got?
Thanks!
They are from his wrapping paper collection- I ordered some because I thought it was cute and when it came in I was like "I wonder if this would look good framed?" and it thought it looked cute so I hung a couple above our bed. They have wrapping papers in several really cute prints now, fun to use for a variety of different projects!
What a great stylist you had! My last few have been let downs. My fave is that blue dress it's very Kate Middleton. Just pinned that and hoping for it in my next fix.
yes I love that dress so much too! I hope they are able to send it to me in the next size up 🙂
how often do you receive your stitch fix boxes? i am going to sign up and am debating what frequency to do.
You can schedule them automatically— as often as you like. Right now I am averaging about 6 weeks between fixes. After a fix I just go in and pick a date off the calendar to receive my next one 🙂 basically you can get it as frequently or infrequently as you like.
Do you have a lot of natural light in your bedroom? I'm just wondering how you get these phone/full length mirror photos to come out so well. Do you edit them afterwards? I'm glad StitchFix was so on point with you. They were with my most recent fix too, and it got me excited about getting more fixes. I scheduled my next one to come at the end of the month! Thanks for sharing all your thoughts and images.
We have like zero light in our bedroom 🙁 I use the afterlight app to brighten my photos so the colors are more visible. I find that a few of their filters really help lighten them up or you can just use the brightening tool. Try that app, it's great 🙂
