Christmas shopping for a toddler is fun— but I think we can all agree on one thing— there are always too many toys! With the limited space we have, I try to make it a point to store away and/or donate toys that are no longer used or that she’s grown out of, but I couldn’t resist picking up some new items for the holidays. I love seeing her expressions as she opens and discovers new toys and books.
Below are some gift ideas if you have a young toddler like me! I’m not buying Harper everything below— it’s simply a mix of items I’ve already purchased for Christmas, items she’s had for awhile (and loves) and some other items I think are cute and would make great gifts!
jellycat cat plush | mooshka mermaid | mooshka elephant | mooshka doll | christmas flamingo | mooshka doll
tea set | desserts | crayola washable crayons | art caddy | crayola washable markers (set of 50) | opposite words puzzle cards | magna doodle | mega bloks
plush unicorns | horse stable | flora and the flamingo | bird puppet | yoda- the story of a cat and his kittens (all proceeds go to Northshore Animal League)
I hope you enjoyed my picks and happy shopping!
Such great ideas! We just bought her that exact kitchen- it's so cute! I'm going crazy looking for that ikea food- so hard to get! I have to checkout those dolls- they're all SO adorable!
I got the veggie basket (the IKEA one) on amazon. It cost a little more, but my IKEA hasn't had it in weeks.
What a wonderful list! Thanks for all the great suggestions. The tea set is adorable, the magnetic blocks so neat and different, and the buggy so fun looking. Happy Holidays!! Marie P.
thank you 🙂 happy holidays!
I love the art caddy! The felt petit fours are adorable. I had plans to sew little felt desserts and make a mini play bakery for Em for Christmas, but I'm not sure I'll get it done in time… If not I'll save that for her 2nd bday in Feb! My grandparents got her that little kitchen in light pink. I am so excited for her to see it! I loved those little land of Nod unicorns too! I also ordered Flora and the Flamingo book for her about a week ago. xo
Thank you for this post! Love the play kitchen idea with cloth fruits and veggies!
On a side note, would you consider doing a winter skin/body/hair care routing post?
Regards,
Adrianna.
Hi Adrianna! I have definitely considered an updated post about my hair and skincare routine. I haven't changed much from before but I know some of my readers are newer and haven't seen my old posts 🙂
Thanks for the great ideas! I always enjoy reading your posts. I was wondering if you do you get anything for Harper's teachers at daycare? I always struggle with what to do for these important people. Thanks!
Thank you! We are so lucky because our daycare provides us with a list of each teacher's favorite candy, stores to shop at, restaurants, etc. I got each teacher her favorite candy and then I got each teacher at $50 gift card (we have three teachers in Harper's class) to their favorite apparel store. Then I wrote each teacher a personal note about the wonderful care they provide. Hope this helps!
