An all-black ensemble is a go-to for me. In fact, I used to wear so much black that is was kind of an issue, ha.
On Wednesday, I paired a simple black tee with an inexpensive boyfriend cardigan and a leopard-textured pencil skirt from Ann Taylor that I’ve owned for years.

I need to re-iterate my love for this boyfriend cardigan. It’s good quality (not super thin) and has a great shape and weight to it. It’s also super long (I’m wearing a small) and comes in petite and tall sizes.
Do you like to wear black? I definitely go through phases where it’s all I want to wear—remember my days of black tights, every day of winter? Oh boy!
Have a great week— it’s almost Friday!
I, too, am drawn to black. A good friend all but staged an intervention for me (no joke!) at one point. I got better. But being pregnant now, I'm drawn to my old friend all over again! Love the outfit 🙂
I actually don't own too much black for some reason. I think I gravitate towards lighter neutrals. But I love wearing black when I don't know what else to wear. I also love it paired with leopard!
Aren't you happy Fall is officially here? Black is a staple in my closet 🙂 The cardigan is the perfect length AND it has pockets – WINNING.

Love your blog, but it's pretty disappointing that as a Canadian, you wouldn't take a second to send a message of support to any Canadian readers you have after the horrible events in Ottawa yesterday.
Hi Ashley, thank you for your comment. I'm sorry that my lack of addressing the shooting at Canada's parliament disappointed you. I have addressed tragic events in the past as a pre-cursor to an actual post and got feedback that it was inappropriate and hurtful to include such a message in an outfit post or other type of post, for that matter. It's not because I don't care or am not aware of the events, I just don't want to offend people by making a short remark about an event and then venturing into a post about what I wore that day. I took the feedback from my readers seriously since so many people found it to be in poor taste.
It can be a tough call to make—I never want to come off like I don't care (because I do) but I also never want to come off as unsympathetic by mentioning a tragedy and then reviewing lip glosses or something similar. Thank you for your feedback though, it offers another perspective.
