When Harper was an infant, I became easily overwhelmed at just the thought of leaving the house with her. Maybe it was the round-the-clock pumping and fear of diaper blowouts (and there were many)…or maybe it was just the sheer amount of STUFF I thought I needed to have with me just to get her out of the house. First time mom, all the way.
Nowadays, leaving the house is easy and we aren’t as crazy about brining so much stuff with us. I’m even planning to add a box to my trunk with some essentials like extra diapers and wipes, a change of clothes and changing pad so if we ever forget something we will have backup (seriously, how have I not done this already?)
Oftentimes we’ll leave the house for a short amount of time (like when we head to Little Gym class or go out for lunch) and lugging around the diaper bag is such a hassle for those quick trips.
So when the ladies at Elari (based in my hometown of Toronto!) reached out to me to try out their diaper wallet, I took them up on it wondering if It would be that “in between” baby item we needed—better than nothing at all (duh) but not like a larger diaper bag (which I still need, but not for quick errands).
I selected their limited edition “pick me a peony” diaper wallet. I liked the bold color and that it was navy blue on the inside. The changing pad design is also a really cute pattern.
Inside there’s an area for diapers, a zipped waterproof pocket for wipes and another pocket with three slots on the front for various items.
I keep two diapers, wipes, boogie wipes, the changing pad, hand santizier and a mini sunscreen in mine. Though I bring it with us for shorter errands out of the house, I’ve never had to use it because we haven’t had any incidents yet.
It’s been packed for weeks and the wipes are still moist, which is great. You could also put a smaller pack of wipes into it, but I just used the special pouch to store them.
The changing pad is thin (not padded) but for quick changes it will get the job done. There’s velcro to keep it neatly stored when not in use.

Hi there and thanks for your comment/feedback. I am very careful which companies I choose to work with and I have strict criteria for accepting products for review—and that includes the item being something I will a) actually use, b) would buy on my own, c) think my readers would like to know about and d) many times, I have purchased and used the products on my own before being asked to review or promote them. I get hundreds of inquiries asking me to promote products or test out products and I say no to 90% of them because they aren't a good fit for me, my blog or my readers (I wish you could see my email inbox).
However, when I see a product that can fit into my life that I think I would like to share with my readers, I am always happy to test it out and see if that's true. I am sorry you feel this way, but I truly think very hard about each partnership and review I take part in.
I was also not paid for this post, so there is no benefit to me other than to get a product that I genuinely use in my day-to-day life and share how I use it with my readers.
I do participate in some paid/sponsored promotions (as I said, this isn't one of them) through my partnership with BlogHer, however, even with those, I only select campaigns with brands/products I like, have used or want to try out genuinely. How it works is that I get an email with a possible partnership opportunity and then I personally apply for only the ones I am interested in. I pass up many that I feel are not a good fit.
That is why you see promotions with brands like Target, Sonia Kashuk, Mary Kay, Almay, etc, on my blog. I genuinely like the brand/products and continue to use many of them in my day-to-day life so I feel no conflict sharing those with my readers. For example, I have been using Target's Up&Up products for years and have blogged about them before (their eye makeup remover in particular). So it was a natural fit to work with them. I also feel there is a benefit to my readers—for each BlogHer promotion, someone wins a $100 gift card, so it's a way to give back and say thank you to my wonderful readers. Thanks again for your feedback and have a great day!
This bag is amazing! My little one is three months old and when I travel to Target ( which is around the corner) of other quick errands I detest having to lug around my monster of a diaper bag. Thank you for showcasing this wallet, as a Torontonian I love to support Canadian products. Can't wait to go grab one!
I'm so glad you like it 🙂 Target trips are a lot easier when you don't have to lug around a heavy bag. I don't even bring a purse with me most places. I just bring my car keys and a small coin wallet type thing with my debit card. Easy and it all fits inside!
The box in a car is a great idea! I never thought of doing that either. I got to where I would just keep a couple of diapers and travel wipes in my glove box instead of carrying anything. Also, I found that if you size up on diapers you won't have blog outs and you can kind of let her be with a wet diaper a little longer if she's in the carseat or stroller. Keeps her drier at night, too, you just have to fasten them tighter around the waist.
My friend Megan (@willowcrowns) gave me the idea for a car trunk box. Harper used to have blowouts a lot when she was a baby but not so much now unless she has a sick tummy (thank God!)
I love your blog! Are you Canadian? I saw only US giveaways and you spelled colour American spelling not Canadian "colour" spelling. This diaper wallet is cute. I have a similar idea for my daughter but this one is so much more stylish!
I am Canadian! I moved to Toronto when i was 3 and lived there until I was 23 🙂 I grew up in the suburbs outside of Toronto. thanks for your comment!
Oh and in regards to "colour" and "neighbourhood" I write them the American way now—I write a lot for my job so I just got used to it and I have to use AP style, so it has to be the "right" way (the American way when writing for US news outlets).

That explains it! I'm glad I found your blog, I have a 20 mo daughter, also love Zara baby. You have great taste! 🙂
I love this idea! Now that my daughter is a year and a half I know the essentials I need for her. I think this will be perfect!
Hi Casey! Glad you like it 🙂
Great idea!!! Super cute too. I ditched the diaper bag with Kennedy about a year ago but then a million things were swimming around in my purse. Nice to have something like this as a "catch all". But now I'm back in the diaper bag phase again! Haha
