Though it’s still over 90 degrees outside most days, it’s safe to say that along with cooler temperatures, I’m craving a lot of other things fall brings— like layering, coats, boots and bolder makeup looks.
I got to test out some of H-E-B’s Fall Beauty Picks and I’m sharing with you the look I created. The products I was sent to try are:
After a long, hot and humid summer, hair rehab is a good idea. I applied this spray as the first product after I brushed out my freshly-washed and towel-dried hair. Then, I added my other usual styling products and blew it out as usual. I like that this protects and conditions my hair outside of the shower.
I also used L’oreal’s Magic Lumi primer underneath my powder on my cheekbones and one line down my nose. Unfortunately, Harper took the primer and hid it somewhere before I had the chance to take the product photos for this post, so I’m borrowing from this blog. I really hope I find it because it gives a nice glow to the skin.
One of my favorite things to do as fall begins is to start using deeper shades on my nails. OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark is a favorite of mine. I got to test out Sao Paulo Over There which is a pretty brown shade that reminds me of the way the leaves change color in the fall. I think it would complement a lot of skin tones.
Love the fall makeup look – so pretty!
Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful! What are the specific colors of those eye shadows??
the darker is called "Onyx," the lighter shade is "Gunmetal" sorry I missed that, I added the colors to the post 🙂
I LOVE the new makeup colors on you; you should def make that part of your routine for fall! It really compliments your skin tone, hair and eye color girl! What were the names of the eye shadow colors? I am of similar coloring and want to pick these up pronto! Ty xoxo
the darker is called "Onyx," the lighter shade is "Gunmetal" they're great! good pigment and easy to apply—and they have a little shimmer which adds a subtle sparkle.
Aw love the eye colors you used esp for the lower lid. I feel like when I try to put eyeliner down there, it always starts to run/bleed and I end up having raccoon eyes. Will add this to our weekly grocery list to get at the HEB 🙂

What I do is I apply benefit's eye bright to my lower lashline and blend it. Then, I apply the shadow using an angled eyeshadow brush. I find that the eye bright not only brightens the eye, but it also acts as a primer and base on the lower lashline. Try it! 🙂
Those eye shadows are lovely. I can't wait to see the new colors incorporated to outfits.
BTW those earrings are very pretty: colorful and different. When I first came across your blog I initially thought you didn't wear any because sometimes they are hidden behind your hair. Are they light or heavy?
(I pass on many long earrings because I don't like heavy ones :p my husband laughs at me finding earrings "heavy")
Hi Beatrix! These turquoise ones are on the heavier side (not too bad though) but the pink tassel ones I wore a few posts ago are much more lightweight 🙂 You may want to try those instead as they are much easier to wear for long periods of time. I have been tucking my hair behind my ears more to show off all of the new earrings I've purchased recently. I love them!
Hi V-that lip stain/gloss color looks fabulous on you!! Very pretty color!
thank you! I love it too 🙂
I love the makeup, so pretty!!
