I’m writing a quick post to share some of my most loved photos from our trip to Toronto. We really needed a little R&R after our first year as new parents so we’re glad we stayed a little longer than we usually do. Plus, I loved the extra time with Harper…though it was tough to drop her of at daycare this morning after spending so much time with her.
Traveling went really well with our little one, so now I’m eager to plan another trip. I know Andee has traveled a lot with her daughter to beachy destinations and that is right up our alley so if you have any other destination suggestions, I’d love to hear from y’all!
My makeup was by the amazingly talented Sarah Smith (follow her on IG here!)
The beautiful bride and her groom…I was honored to be her matron of honor…it was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to!
Harper didn’t share my enthusiasm for her absolutely gorgeous custom flower crown from WillowCrowns…but one day, when she’s playing dress-up, she will grow to love it like I do! And let’s be real, you know I got a matching one for myself too.
We had photos taken with my friend Adam of Adam Biesenthal Photography— this is a shot I took with my iPhone! We have a few of her in the floral crown as well…can’t wait to share!
Harper’s reaction to my mom’s homemade soup—delight!
Daddy love at the airport…
Three generations in an impromptu shot while out and about…
Harper was 100 percent obessesed with being outside in my mom’s backyard. The weather was so ideal during our visit!
A fed baby is a happy baby…
She loved playing with rocks and transporting them from one location to another…
My happy girl!
Car seat on plane= best thing ever. I’ll blog about this later!
Someone stole the dog’s bed…

Isn't it funny how we spend hundreds of dollars on baby toys and all they want is rocks and buckets? I love her flower crown! And major props to the bride for picking such gorgeous dresses!
ain't that the truth?!
Your bridesmaid dress is gorgeous and it looks like it was a beautiful wedding. You guys look so happy, definitely a well deserved, well needed trip to unwind! Harper looks so tall in some of these photos, she's really starting to look like a toddler now! ugh time goes too fast!
She grew to 30.5 inches! It did seem so fast! thanks for your sweet comment 🙂
That's the exact height Aubrey was at her age. She's 16 1/2 months and 31.75 inches now! I think she might be tall like her daddy.
Oh my gosh the pictures of Harper are so sweet! She is growing so fast!! Looks like you guys had a great trip home! xo
Beautiful pictures. It looks like you had a wonderful time!!! Love your mirror selfies. I wish I was any good at those.
Love from South Africa

Such beautiful photos!! I love the dresses you all wore for the wedding – so unique ~ and yes can totally be worn again!! Harper looks like she had the best visit and sounds like you guys did too!
I am going on a trip in September with my daughter who will turn 9 months old over our trip. We will be flying from GA to CA. I have MAJOR anxiety about flying with her. Was it hard to bring a car seat on the plane? I've done a little research and found where some car seats are too big and won't fit. Did you leave Harper in the car seat for the whole flight?
My husband carried and installed our Britax on the plane—but I did see a mother traveling alone with her child and she propped her carseat onto her carry on luggage so she could just wheel it around. Any seat that is FAA approved should be okay to install on the plane. We even installed it rearfacing, and it fit on a flight with very little leg room as well as our flight home which had a ton of legroom. Harper was in the carseat 90% of the time on the way to Toronto and about 80% of the time on the way back—and always during takeoff and landing. She was comfortable in it and slept most of the time. I'm planning a blog post about it!
Great photos! I love Toronto in the summer!!
Ahh, look at little Harper, she gets more beautiful every day!
Those are gorgeous bridesmaids dresses too!

so sweet and you look so pretty hun! Thanks for the shout out 😉 gosh that trip felt like forever ago! Beach vacays really are the best w babes!
U look beautiful girl! The baby crown is adorable and reminded me of our 1-yr mother/daughter shoot together. I had to let her wear it for a few days to get used to the thing. LOVE her expression of eating your mom's soup. 🙂

Holy cow you look so stunning. Just gorgeous.
Abigail had very very similar little white eyelet shoes when she was H's age and she wore them ALL the time. best shoes ever!
we are taking a flight with our little Ellie (just a week older than Harper) pretty soon here – although we didn't purchase a plane ticket/seat for her I am hoping she will be an awesome traveler!
Turks and Caicos would be a nice beachy vacation with the kiddo. Water is beautiful and warm and calm, which makes it great for kids great beaches and food. We like to stay at resorts with full kitchen which they have. Makes it easier with kids. Nie supermarket close by resorts too!
Harper is soooo adorable!
