I was delighted to learn that it would consistently be in the 80’s this week so that means bare legs! I was so excited to slip into one of my beloved J.Crew No. 2 Pencil skirts, which I pretty much used to wear daily before I was pregnant. They’re just so comfortable and easy to wear. Plus, they go with everything from dress shirts, to blouses, to sleeveless tops, etc. You can’t go wrong!
One of my favorites is this navy and white striped style:
shirt- gap (similar, similar) | skirt- j.crew (LOVE this one, would it be wrong to get it?) | shoes- nine west | necklaces ℅ The Modern Siren and Tiny Tags
What are you looking forward to wearing as the weather improves?
I also want to mention how much I enjoy Jergen’s Natural Glow Firming self tanner (the new formulation in the medium/tan shade). It really gives color and made my normally pasty legs look great. My legs were blindingly white before I used it. This was after one application, left on overnight. I highly recommend this self tanner if you’re craving a little color but don’t want to stain your sheets.
Thanks for the lotion, tip. Pretty sure I blinded my family by baring my legs on Easter Sunday. And Iove those J.Crew's #2s, too!
Cheers!

I just wore that skirt yesterday and love it. Will you please send some 80's weather my way? Woke up to more snow this morning and almost cursed out loud! 😉

Perhaps this is a silly question – but did you use self-tanning lotions while pregnant? I'm 51/2 months now. I'd love to try this loiton but not sure I can or not…
Not silly at all! I used it maybe 2-3 times in my third trimester. I wouldn't do a a spray tan because you breathe it in but lotion is a personal choice and I would advise you to ask your OB what their opinion is 🙂
Oh if only my hips agreed that pencil skirts are adorable 😉
my legs are so pale!! I have been thinking about a self tanner so I will try this one out!!

This is such a pretty outfit! I love stripes since they do seem to go with everything. 😀
You look so fab! I love the striped skirt, it's definitely a Summery look.
I use the Jergens too and really like it! Quick question for you on tucking shirts into skirts. I always end up with bumps/lumps – what am I doing wrong? You look so lovely!
Hi Heather! Okay—this is what I do—I tuck my shirt in, then I lift my skirt all the way up to my waist and pull down the shirt from underneath until it's all straight. Then, I slide my skirt back down and that usually keeps it looking a little less baggy and bumpy 🙂
Hi- love the paint color in your room- did you re-do/what's the name if it?
Also, do you think it's a true gray, or do you see purple/green etc..undertones in it?
Thx- I'm mid-project & need a good gray!
Hi- I thought I saw somewhere you mentioned wanting to repaint- is that a new color on the wall/what is the name of it? Also, do you think it has undertones- like purple/green? Thx- I'm mid-project & need a good true gray!
No, we just got new lighting in the bedroom that is closer to daylight. The color is martha stewart flagstone.
