We had such a fun family day today enjoying Houston’s beautiful weather. First, we headed to an Easter gathering at a local park and enjoyed a little time in the sun:
After the park we headed to one of our favorite lunch/brunch spots, Empire Cafe, in the Montrose area. Kevin and I split the eggs benedict and italian toast (which is unreal amazing!) and Harper had some fruit I brought from home. You literally cannot eat in front of her and not feed her too, even if she’s eaten recently. She loves food so much.
Then we headed over the to the Pavilion for Women in the med center. When we had Harper, our hospital photographer came and shot some photos in our room a couple of days after she was born. When I came back from maternity leave our marketing director told me one of our photos was going up on the building! Ours was the first time ever a father has been on the building so that was pretty cool (before it was always just women and moms with babies). There are several billboards on the building and they are all employees/babies of employees and not models. I love that!
After being up for nearly a year, they are being changed out next week so we decided to snap some photos as a memory.
We stopped into a local shop to check out travel strollers again and I think we are going to go with the Mountain Buggy Nano. I will probably order it from amazon next week.
Then we came home, had a little nap and played. Harper’s hair is really growing in as you can see below! I totally think she’s going to have a baby mullet because her back hair grows so much faster. Party in the back! Lol.

Hope you had a happy Saturday!
PS- I think we can all agree that Harper’s passport is the cutest in all of the land!
So fun! Our hospital did the same thing with us…so special!! Sounds like an amazing weekend so far! xo
Wow! What an incredible picture on the hospital! And oh my word – Harper's lashes are soo long and she's standing so well! That is the cutest passport pic! I wish we could redo K's! Wow! That travel stroller folds up so compactly! I just bought the UB G-Luxe for our travels this year. It folds up pretty slim, but still tall, if that makes sense. Previously, we just used the car seat with the Vista, snap n go, or the Bob. Each had their pros and cons, but I'm still leaning towards using the Vista domestically because I find the basket SO useful in the airport! Happy Easter!

That is such a beautiful photo of the three of you. I wonder if they could give you a condensed version because that needs a frame.
I love reading about your fun adventures and special family time with Harper! We're also looking for a travel stroller and I hadn't previously considered the Mountain buggy nano until I read your post. I was researching on their website and the stroller features sounded amazing, until I started looking at the bug net and rain cover package. A bug net is a must in Houston and it comes with a PVC rain cover. It was alarming to me that PVC is no longer used in shower curtains but is being used in a baby product. I think I'm going to eliminate Mountain Buggy from my list of options after discovering that, but just wanted to let you know in case you hadn't noticed it.
hmm i had not noticed this…TBH I probably won't use the raincover much and i have one already for my uppababy and can use that one instead. I am concerned bout BPA and PVC and avoid using those products.
