Thank you to everyone who left a sweet comment on my last outfit post! I really appreciate your feedback.
I also want to say thank you to those who have stuck around as my blog transitioned from mostly personal style and beauty to what it is now— baby, baby and more baby…and a few DIY, home and beauty posts here and there. You can certainly see where my priorities lie these days—and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
As I mentioned in my last post, I do want to get back into sharing my outfit photos. I did fall into a rut this winter and wore a lot of the same outfits over and over because it was easy. Once I had a baby I just wasn’t as motivated to dress up in the morning and I barely wear heels anymore because it can be a pain when I’m getting Harper in and out of the carseat for daycare.
I think it took me a little time to “find myself” again when it comes to style…and to be honest, I’m not even there yet. Lately though, I’m starting to make a little more effort and I’m rediscovering pieces in my closet I haven’t worn in quite some time.
Like this LOFT tweed jacket. I can’t remember the last time I wore it but I got it nearly three years ago. I forgot how much I liked it and it was the perfect addition to this casual work outfit. I was at my desk all day today so I wanted to be comfortable but still cute. I got a lot of compliments on this jacket, so I better wear it a few more times before the Houston weather ramps up.
A Tweed Jacket
Jacket- LOFT (old- similar here & here) | Shirt- J.Crew (I am wearing the “tall” size 4) | Necklace- GroopDealz.com | Shoes- Banana Republic | Pants- J.Crew
Have a great night!
Love the evolution, love the honesty! I feel like everyone gets in a rut, glad you are feeling like you're getting your groove back. I really enjoy that your blog covers a large range of topics, never know what I'll be reading next 🙂
thank you so much for your comment! 🙂 and thanks for understanding. Balancing it all can be tough, but I'm trying my best to do as much as I can!
Adorable as always! The jacket was the perfect addition to that outfit! ~Jenn http://www.twobytwomom.com
Love the outfit! It's hard after the baby (or babies) come. You're so focused on them you sort of lose yourself. Be proud you're getting back while still being a new mama. It took me years!!! 🙂 Beautiful as always!

It's definitely an adjustment! Like I said I wouldn't change it for the world but I'm trying to work on having less guilt when I do something for myself 🙂
Thank you for coming back! You are truly one of the reasons why I started my own blog. I do miss your youtube videos and product reviews. Being a mom is intense. As a mother of two boys with two very different professions, a husband, house and dog, I understand how hard that transition can be. Keep calm and blog on! Best, H. betweenjewelryandjob.blogspot.com
Thank you! I will have to check out your blog!
Great post 🙂 I totally understand your priorities have shifted, as they should! Even though I'm not yet a mom, I do love seeing you with Harper. You girls are the cutest. I love all aspects of your blog! But of course, I always want to see what you're wearing because you have great style!
Thanks Noelle :)I can't wait to see you as a mama one day 🙂
Do I miss your videos and style content? Yes! Would I trade it for pics of Harper and a peek into your real life as a mom? Never! You are just as authentic, stylish and sweet as ever and I'll follow/subscribe to whatever you're willing to share 🙂
What a sweet comment! Thanks for making me smile 🙂
What a gorgeous jacket! It's great when you re-discover something that you haven't worn in awhile 🙂
Agreed! Sometimes I just forget what I have. Looks like some spring cleaning is in order!
I love your blog Veronika. : ) I actually love that you post about such a variety of things. I could never stick to just one topic with mine. I love your decor posts, baby Harper posts, what you did over the weekend, fashion and DIY! Btw love that outfit! It is hard to get back into the swing of things after baby I'm sure once spring rolls around you'll be excited to dress up. I know I am tired of my winter stuff by now!
Thank you so much for your comment! 🙂 here's to spring weather coming your way soon!
I think you have found the perfect mama fashion!!! Love that jacket!!

Lovely outfit! Perfect jacket https://bellemelange.net/blog/
Having kids does change your style because you don't want to wear a fancy shirt that will end up with spit up or food on them! I, too used to live in heels but carrying kids and car seats is a game changer. I have loved the transitions you have made and love watching beautiful Harper grow up and I feel like dressing up the kiddos becomes more fun than dressing ourselves lol.

Cute jacket. It seems like your new workplace is more casual than your last job, I am jealous. I work for a big corporation and technically it is corporate casual, but compared to my friends it is closer to corporate dress.
I totally understand about not being motivated to get dressed up at first. I feel like I was in a fog up until my son was 9-10 months. At about 18 months I found my groove, due in part to FINALLY losing the last bit of baby weight. I actually felt like my old self, just busier. It can be a little shocking to share that timeline with new moms, because by the time your baby is 18 months + 9.5 months of pregnancy that is a long time to not feel like yourself. It gets gradually easier. My 2nd baby is due at the end of May. I hope it’s a little easier this time, but if it’s not, my goal is to be kind to myself and not worry so much about the small stuff.
Hang in there mama. There are a lot of people out there wishing you well.
I completely understand where you are at considering I had my first baby three months ago, also fellow Houstonian so definitely keep that jacket in rotation. We have been quite lucky with the cool weather lately.
Taking the little guy to and from daycare is quite overwhelming with the infant seat; I don't even want to wear wedges anymore. I pretty much have transitioned to flats all the time. You look great. I'm just happy that you still keep up with your log, regardless of the topics.
That is ok that you have been wearing same outfits again! I guess you have been dealing with more difficult situations than just picking outfits. You are a cool mum and I love your jacket 🙂
Love seeing the OOTD posts coming back but don't forget to post about that little peanut!
Also, have you considered just wearing flats for picking up & dropping off Harper at daycare then putting on heels for the office?
I know it sounds like a pain to have to carry an extra set of shoes but it's really not that bad. I wear flats to drop off Adriana and then put my heels on in the car before I go in to work. I just feel so much better at work with heels on so this is my way to make both ways work for me. Hopefully it could work for you as well 🙂

Gorgeous as always Veronika!! I understand how life changes once you become a Mommy 🙂 Like others said, yes we miss your outfit posts, beauty videos and tutorials but we are all so thankful for you to post DIY and baby posts! Your hair looking amazing in these pictures! Which curling iron is it again you use for your curls? Mandy
I think your blog has grown with you. I love that you have transitioned. You're a mommy now and it shows that you truly value your new role. That's fabulous! You can wear all the hats of your blog! No need to choose just one. Love your blog! -hugs!

Cool blazer! Don't forget about it again soon!

I absolutely agree about the heels. I hardly. Ever wear heels anymore post-game. It's just one more hurdle in the day-to-day and frankly I think Henley would be faster than me haha
I started following your blog right before Harper was born and love how it's evolved into what your life is about now. That's one of the best things about blogging I think is that your personal lifestyle is able to shine through. All us mama's understand what it's like to not want to get dressed up and wear flats but you still look graceful and gorgeous at the same time. Keep up the great blog!
