Learning to use my new MacBook Air and its programs has been both a challenge and a joy. Now that I’m used to the track pad, I don’t quite know how I ever lived without it. The command button is now my friend and iPhoto and I are on speaking terms again.
You may have noticed an inconsistency in the sizing of my photos lately, but thank goodness I finally figured out that there is, in fact, a custom setting for photo sizes. Basically, the issue I ran into before was that I thought there were only pre-set photo sizes (small, medium, large, full size) and then I was having to crop the entire background of my photos out so that when I enlarged them in Blogger, they wouldn’t go past the margins. Now that I can custom size them, I found the size that matches my margins and can keep the full background of the photos but still make them large. Sigh. It’s the little things.
Speaking of the little things—what’s not quite so little is my yellow bubble necklace from Groop Dealz, or, as I like to call it, the “endless compliments” necklace. What can I say? People love the bubble.
I didn’t quite know what I’d pair my yellow necklace with. Not only is it a bold style, but yellow is quite the color to pull off with a statement necklace. So, for my first attempt, I paired it with an all-nude palette.

Happy Friday everyone!
The yellow looks great with the blush tones 🙂
Great necklace, and OOTD….but i couldn't help but notice the absence of your curtains in the background – what happened?
Do you wear earrings with this necklace? I ordered a turquoise one via Groopdeals as well, but I don't know which earrings I should use.
Your outfit is super cute!
@carinissma—it's an older post, that's why they aren't there. sometimes I don't publish posts and then when I have a really busy week I publish them then since I don't always have time to blog after work 🙂
Great pairing 🙂 even with the bag! Everything goes together so well and you look great!

I love the whole thing! The necklace and even your purse really pop.
I agree with Maria, I think that yellow and blush/nude tones really compliment each other! The neutrals really make the necklace stand out!
It took me awhile to get used to my MacBook too. My husband changed some of the settings on the track pad to make it easier for me though. 🙂
I love the way you wore the yellow necklace. I have a vintage yellow necklace that I wasn't sure how to wear. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is definitely one of my favourite outfits….ever!
You did a great job! The nudes are a perfect backdrop for the bright yellow!
Absolutely gorgeous! Tara of Mix and Match Fashion mentioned your blog on twitter and I had to check it out.
I love using my mac for blogging — it is absolutely perfect, and I don't even have to use iPhoto. I actually mostly use my iPhone to take pictures (or an SLR which I then plug in to my iPad) and everything just shows up in my photo stream. I found a quick tutorial online on how to add a Photostream Smart Folder to Finder so without even turning on iPhoto, my pictures automatically show up in this smart folder! I just open them up in Preview, crop and color correct them, and save. Then I created an application in Automator that automatically resizes the photos to 500 pixels across and puts them in my Blog Photos folder. So I select and drag all the pictures I want onto this app that sits on my desktop and voila, they're ready to go. It took a little work to orchestrate all this but now it literally takes me under a minute to shoot and prep my photos for publishing. There's no way you could do this on a windows machine!
Sorry if that was super long (and if it didn't even hold your attention past the first line), but I hope it was helpful — actually, maybe I'll do a blog post on the process, with pictures to clarify.
Okay, I'll stop rambling! Love your blog :).

This is the perfect outfit for that necklace. They are so bold, that they really need a simpler outfit to contrast them. I just love that bag. I love how it literally goes with so many of your outfits!

How comfortable do you think the Ivanka Trump wedges are? I tried on that exact pair but ended up going w/ the Jack Rodgers Clare Rope Wedge instead. I don't know if it was the shape of the sole or what on the Ivanka Trump ones, but they just didn't feel "right" on me.
I LOVE the bright yellow necklace with the neutrals! It's a nice pop of color(:
Hey Veronika! It's Polichik from the old Knot days 🙂 I'm generally not a huge fan of bubble necklaces, but I love how you made it the sole focus with the all-nude palette- it keeps it from being "too much." Well done, lady!
You look beautiful Veronika… I adore this outfit the colours are all so pretty together + that necklace is a total wow piece!! Love the bigger photos too by the way! xo V
@amy— they are incredibly comfortable and SO lightweight
Veronika, you look so gorgeous! I love the pop of colours and your photo quality/size 🙂 <3 Also I'm so jealous of your hair! <3 xoxo
Just ordered the turquoise necklace from Groopdealz- hasn't arrived yet. Are you happy with the quality? I'm excited to get it!

Veronika why don't you ever tell us more info on the handbag. It's adorable and I want one 🙂
Lovely! I have an aqua bubble necklace but I rarely get to wear it because my baby grabs it and tries to eat it! When I get back to work this fall, I'll have to figure out how to make it work with some different outfits.
beautiful outfit! love the soft tones with the pops of color! you look just lovely. xoxo linds {{www.rubygirlblog.com}}
