This burgundy skirt from Target was a steal at $22—and I’m loving the way it mixes with various prints and color combos. It’s almost like a neutral for fall.
I decided to add a tiny polka-dot blouse and a striped blazer in the same colors. If you’re scared to mix prints, try using prints in the same color family to ease into the trend.
Skirt- Target- mine is a size 6, for reference (buy it here!)
Blouse- GAP (similar, another cute option, also very cute)
Belt- J.Crew (similar)
Shoes- Zara (buy them here)
Hope everyone has a great week and thank you for your patience as I was battling a virus this weekend. I am finally feeling like myself again 🙂
I love how you paired the polka dots with the stripes! I'm still getting used to print mixing.

What is your take on wearing tights/ pantyhose with outfits? It's cold where I live and I plan on wearing pencil skirts during fall/winter but don't want to be cold…any advice? Thanks:)
-Diana
Diana—I wear tights all winter, look back on my archives for examples
LOVE your new Zara shoes they are amazing!!!!

I love this outfit of yours 🙂 I'm a color person, so I'd probably add some rust/orange to make it more "me" haha. This is a great example of looking professional but still have your own style – with pieces that you can wear on the weekends, too!
I was just looking at those Zara heels and wondering if they were comfortable! How did you find them to be as you wore them throughout the day?
@aetherbound— they are pretty comfortable actually 🙂
Just love the whole outfit! I like the mixing of the patterns and burgundy is definitely my favorite color going into this fall! Those shoes are gorgeous too!
Perfect print mixing! Love polka dots right now.
I'm so glad you're feeling better- I was starting to worry about you! I found myself thinking over the weekend, "Gee, I hope everything is okay with Veronika." Don't you just love this blog world?!
@megan- thanks for your well wishes 🙂 I am glad to be BACK In action!
Love the outfit. So glad you are feeling better DH is happy you are back. I'll bet Hubs was a good nurse and Lulu didn't leave your side.
Btw, I got a cut pair of black flats with patent cap toes at Target today.
Oh I love your tops! And I just bought that skirt last week! Target has some really cute stuff out right now…they have a few pencil skirts I want to buy. I just bought a black lace pencil skirt that was for $20.
you're mixing prints with so much ease i love it! so classy!

Great outfit! I bought a similar striped blazer recently and love it. I think I'm going to get some good wear out of the new "it" color for Fall – it's such a nice, warm color.
Glad you're feeling better! I missed you posting a "haul" video this weekend – lol!

Love that blazer! I am looking for something exactly like that for my baby shower! I plan to wear a black maxi dress with my turquoise bubble necklace and want a blazer like that to top it off!
love burgundy for fall! such a pretty colour
glad to hear your feeling better 🙂

LOVE the dots/stripes/tweed combo!
I am glad that you are feeling better! it is horrible when you get run down. Lovely outfit, I do love that blazer & the skirt is bang on for fall! Or 'Autumn' as we call it in the UK!
xx
Sorry you weren't feeling well. Did you get that weird throat/nose/fever thing? I unfortunately battled two rounds of it! In better news, I adore that skirt and I have been wanting an oxblood/burgundy piece to add to my wardrobe. Might have to pick one up!
hope you feel better! great outfit!
Really like the way you styled this skirt! I got the same one when it first came out but have yet to wear it. We are twinsies once again 😉
I so love stripes and dots together!

I saw this skirt at Target a few weeks ago and thought of you and your love for pencil skirts! LOVE the stripes!
I love this outfit!

Love it! I must confess, the deep burgundy and pink have been favorites of mine for years…so when you 'hauled' the skirt, I couldn't keep myself from running to Target to grab it. Thx for sharing!
Love this. And that skirt is such a steal!
I actually wore that blazer today and own that target skirt. You were totally right about the sizing, huge, I had to get a small but i love that the arms are long. And I ordered that skirt from target and got it yesterday! The sizing on that one runs totally small! Can stores work on some consistency please! I'm tall like you and I always wonder, if I'm buying a small what are the "actual small girls" wearing??!
