This afternoon, we went to the Apple store to pick up my MacBook Air and get it all set up and that’s where I’m blogging from right now.
It’s been a major adjustment for me but overall I am getting the hang of it (sort of). I thought that having the close/minimize/maximize buttons on the opposite side would be my largest issue, but it’s moreso just way finding and knowing how to navigate through it all. Thank God for Google. Getting used to the track pad and the commands is particularly interesting. I am also having to enlarge the font on the screen and I can’t quite tell if my eyes are getting worse (probably) or if the original font size is just really teeny…
I was lucky today because I got to meet one of my readers, Sheryl and her husband Warren. They were in Houston on a vacation so we decided to meet up for some lunch. I love that I have such awesome readers! We had yummy soup, salads and sandwiches at La Madeline and we were able to snap a quick photo together after lunch:
I think it’s so lovely that my readers reach out to me and that I get to connect with some of you in person. It’s really fun to actually see and talk to someone face to face 🙂
Here are some more snaps from my Saturday:
Did you also get the pink pleated skirt? If so, what size?
Blake @ Steady Three Sixty has left a new comment on your post "Saturday Snaps & J.Crew Fitting Room Photos":
I love your blog, and you have such a great sense of fashion! I'll definitely be looking up to you for work wardrobe inspiration.

sorry blake I accidentally hit delete on your comment so I reposted it here! welcome to my blog 🙂
no I did not get the pink skirt but the one I have on is a size 4
I agree, I'm so happy that brights are still going to be big. I think they liven everything up! I'm most excited to wear sweaters and jeans again…comfortably, without sweating!
So cute! Love J. Crew!! 🙂 great finds
I love polka dots too. In the summer I have fun polka dot flats. Have fun with your new computer. <3
I'm looking forward to Cider Mill Season! Our favorite one recently opened and I can't wait to start going every weekend 🙂

I really like the striped tippi, great neutral colours. I definately have to stock up on fall colours as well…think there will be a lot of ruby, mustadry yellows and rosty oranges to come up. As a blond one yellows are difficult to match my hair and skintone but I am keen on giving it a go any time soon and I am excited to see which rich colour you will pick for fall. Happy Sunday to you, lovely.
It's so nice that you meet up with your readers! You are so sweet! Gorgeous snap shots! Love the pink skirt!!
XOXO from the Netherlands,

Fitting room photos are back! Yay! I'm most looking forward to cooler air, it's so sticky hot in the UK at the moment – no sunshine, just sticky! And it's my birthday I September so I'm looking forward to that too 🙂
I switched over from a PC to a MacBook Pro about 3 years ago and now can't imagine going back. The trackpad is the best part–it becomes like an extension of your hand to make everything easier. Now when I have to use a PC, I try to do all the trackpad movements and get so frustrated when it won't do anything 🙂 You will find that you won't really even need to use the minimize/maximize buttons on your windows anymore. Just use the trackpad movements to bring up what you need! Good luck 🙂
Oh, and I love the J.Crew pieces you got! I've had my eye on that polka dot scarf. Good to know it's on sale in stores!
You're so pretty. 🙂
I am excited for fall because I am having my baby in October. I cannot wait to wear my normal clothes again! I am DYING for a J. Crew shopping trip!

Love the striped tippi, I may just have to make my way over to j crew and grab one, thanks! Your new MacBook Air will feel more & more comfortable everyday 🙂
Looks like you had a great Saturday! This fall, I am looking forward to cooler temperatures, getting to layer clothes, cook different foods, and the holidays! Yay!
I'm loving the fall rollout at J. Crew. Love your polka dot tippi and the scarf. Heading to Toronto tomorrow to visit family so will definitely check out those items.
Love all the Jcrew sweaters & I also can't wait for Fall. I need your advice – I live in Canada and although we have a Jcrew @ Yorkdale it can sometimes be a bit difficult to get there – I'm looking to order a couple blouses online and was wondering on the fit? Do they fit bigger or smaller? Thanks Veronika.
ps. love your blog!
I'm with you– I'm so ready for the cooler temps! I don't know how much longer I can deal with this heat. The weather is morning is perfect though!
How did you tie the polka dot scarf, it looks so cute that way! Thanks!
I fold the scarf in half, put it around my neck and loop the ends through the loop in the scarf 🙂 if you google 50 ways to tie a scarf there is a great tutorial both on youtube and online 🙂
Thanks, Veronika! Did you tie the ends or fold them in somehow? When I wear my scarf like that, the ends hang down like this:

I love those boat neck tops and the pink skirt! Is that from J. Crew as well?
Yum, La Madeleine is one of my favorite places to eat. Lovely snaps!
