I’m watching “The Change Up” on TV right now and can’t help but notice Olivia Wilde’s pretty office outfits—crisp white shirts and pencil skirts, galore! (she made those simple pieces look quite sexy in that movie—but then again, I kinda think she’s one of those gals that can make a paper bag look sexy).
Her movie style kind of reminds me of today’s outfit—a classic white shirt and navy blazer—but with the feminine touch of a lace skirt. I can’t believe I didn’t have a perfect white shirt until recently. It feels amazing to own a crisp white shirt that fits perfectly and goes with everything—I repeat, everything. Ladies, if you haven’t found your crisp white shirt yet, be on the lookout because I can see this shirt going down in versatility history. In fact, I wore the lilac version of it numerous times during our trip to Toronto.

Sometimes, simplicity is lovely.
That skirt is divine!!
What a classic outfit! And those shoes are a perfect match to your skin tone…legs for miles!
very gorgeous outfit!! Love the shoes – what style name are they? I still need nude pumps!
Very classic, great for the office! I wish I worked in one ;(
I can't get enough lace skirts. I think I own…three! And counting…
My love for crisp white shirts is eclipsed by my loathIng of ironing. I think I need to buy like seven, and then just send them out to be laundered. Ha.
After every post, how do you manage to convince me I need to own every single item you blog about? 🙂 You look great girl!
i love your skirt!(:

Love the skirt! I'm so bummed. I accidentally threw my Jcrew white button up into the dryer with my sheets and I think it shrank. Definitely feels a bit tighter than it did prior to being put in the dryer.
I really like that skirt. It's so feminine and pretty 🙂

A classic white shirt may not seem like an important purchase to a lot of people but they don't realize that they are so incredibly versatile! I have a couple and will probably add different styles to my wardrobe as well 🙂
V, you look great. I always have difficulty with button-down shirts because of my bust (34F). My solution is to avoid button-down shirts altogether, but this post makes me want to try again! Does anyone have advice? Am I going to have to buy 1-2 sizes up and have the waist taken in?
Love this classic outfit and the skirt looks amazing on you.
BTW I just read your last status on Facebook about the crazy/creepy person and I am really sorry to hear about that story. People are just sick.
I am sure most of your readers will support you. Anyway, love your blog/youtube channel and your style (clothing and decor).
Love the outfit. 🙂
