Thank you to everyone who left nice messages after the car accident I was in last night. I use that term loosely as no one was hurt and there was hardly any impact, but my entire back driver’s side door will have to be replaced.
To make a long story as short as possible, I was turning left from a one way street onto a street with two lanes, one going each way. I make this turn every single day on my commute home. So I’m making my left turn like usual and there’s a pickup truck waiting at the stop sign to make his left turn onto said one-way road. For some reason, as I was 3/4 of the way through my turn, he decided to advance forward, moving completely into my vehicle instead of waiting for me to complete my turn. If he had literally kept his foot on the brake for another 2-3 seconds tops, the entire accident would have been avoided.
I had never been in an accident and fortunately it happened close to home so my H drove down and waited with me until the police came so we could file a report (we waited over an hour). The driver who hit me didn’t have insurance or a driver’s license. I felt really bad, I didn’t want anyone to get in trouble, but I know it wasn’t my fault.
Anyway, thank you for the kind words, I am just so thankful no one got hurt.
When I was in my last month of my previous job, I was wearing pants at least three days a week. I was just burned out and didn’t feel like making the effort to get dressed up. I see pants differently now though. I’ve been experimenting more with belting them and wearing them with the blouses I’d usually opt to tuck into my beloved pencil skirts.
Here’s what I wore on Wednesday:
Pants- Express Editor Pants
Shoes- Aldo
Necklace- Regina Pierallini (buy a similar style here)
Belt- J.Crew
Veronika.
So glad to hear you're OK! That's pretty scary.
Oh Veronika, I am so glad no one got hurt. It's so scary to be in a car accident and it was good that your husband was able to wait with you while waiting for the cops.
I hope your car gets repaired soon.

I love the pants on you! Especially with that blouse. So pretty 🙂
Car accidents are no fun…I'm glad no one was injured!
Oh my goodness you have a long torso! (that's a compliment BTW, jealous. 😉
yep! longest torso ever! when i had a trainer I remember him making me do my situps differently because of how long my torso was!
I LOVE that blouse!! Super cute! And Express Editor pants are my absolute favorite! Love this look!
Cute outfit! When I worked as a bank teller, I always had trouble balancing looking cute and looking professional for work, but this looks so nice.
Glad your accident wasn't serious! I've been in a few (once I rolled my car down an embankment and into a creek!), all of which were my own fault, and I know it's scary.
Hope you had a lovely Thursday! 🙂

Left brain, right brain, pug brain.
Your H drove down to wait with you? Awww. You got a good one there. And i'm so glad you're ok. 🙂
Oh my goodness, V! I'm so happy you are ok! You know what's ironic? Something similar happened to me today. Well, almost happened. It really made me furious at first, but then it scared me. People just don't pay attention when they drive.
On a happier note, you look awesome in those trousers. Everyone swears by editor pants from Express! I remember I tried them last year, and I couldn't find a pair that fit. I want to try again!
This is my favorite outfit from you in a long time.
I do have to say though that if the person who hit you doesn't have a driver's license or insurance they are breaking the law and should be reprimanded for it.
Love this look! I'm definitely putting that top on my shopping list!

Wow, glad you're okay. I've been in a minor car accident once and no one got hurt either, thankfully.
Those pants really suit you!
Glad to hear that you are ok and good to hear nobody was hurt. Love the pants 🙂
I love a nice blouse tucked into a belted pant, I think it looks so put together.
Glad you are okay!
I absolutely adore this outfit! so cute! I feel like pants take so much of an effort to style too.
In the summer months in Louisiana its so easy and quick to just throw on a dress and go!
Glad you're ok! If the person who hit you doesn't have insurance or a license are they in trouble with the law at all? How will your door get fixed if it won't be going through their insurance? I hope you haven't filed a claim under your insurance, because even though you weren't at fault, your insurance will go up because you made a claim. I hope it all works out!
Cute outfit! Like you, I usually wear dresses or skirts to work, but it's nice to switch it up and wear pants sometimes :0)
So glad that you're okay after your wreck. Honestly though, that guy needs to get in trouble. No insurance is one thing but no license?!? As for your outfit…fabulous! Didn't you say you ordered that top with the green stripe too?
I hate being in wrecks… I've been in 3 none of them being my fault. Once we waited 3 hours for a cop, such is living in Vegas but it stinks.
I'm glad everyone was ok. I LOVE the gold belt, it adds such a nice delicate touch.
