My vibrant green No.2 pencil skirt has been one of my best investments this past season. I wear it a lot because the color works with a lot of pieces in my closet.
Today I paired it with stripes and leopard because I felt like playing with mixing patterns a little bit.

Come to think of it, I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of my LOFT striped top too…and speaking of re-wearing clothing—one of the things I love to see is bloggers re-wearing items in new ways—even little tweaks to an outfit give me inspiration!
Before I go—what are your favorite patterns to mix and match?
xoxo,
Veronika.
PS—if you missed my weekend shopping video, I’ve included it below!
I love mixing different types of stripes! Even today I paired my navy and white striped sweater with a light blue and white striped scarf (different textures, different shades, and different sizes). It worked 🙂
Love that skirt! It's great for spring!
I love that green skirt. I'm also just starting a new job so I can't wait to no longer have a starving student bank account to buy pretty things! For now, I have to work with what I have or shop on a very small budget! But I love to vicariously shop through you by watching your hauls! haha

I'm not so great at mixing patterns myself though I love the way you did it here with the subtle leopard print and stripes. Your posts always make me want those No. 2 pencil skirts since you seem to own them in a bunch of colours… which other colours do you own/recommend?

I have it in green, pink (neon azalea) and black 🙂 now they come in cotton for the summer in fun bright colors!
Yey V! I love that your playing with mixing patterns…something I need to step out and do more 🙂 xo, tasha
I love leopard and green together! I find that leopard print is a neutral – it goes with almost everything.
I agree about seeing bloggers remix their clothing. Not all of us can afford to go shopping for new clothes all the time!
I love your Gap tee in your haul video. I ordered it in orange 🙂 They didn't have the pink in petite, boo!
Lovely outfit and I always enjoy your videos. I love stripe tops too- I especially love mixing them with floral skirts or with brightly colored or pastel pencil skirt and skinny jeans. Adorable dresses- I have the same problem shopping for dresses that are long enough since Im also on the taller side.
btw-I was wondering where your bookshelf is from?? I just love it.

I really love how you get so much wear out of your clothing- it really justifies the (sometimes) high price tag! 🙂
is your belt secured through a belt-hole?? i can't seem to figure out how to do that cute knot-thing you did here! thanks!!
Nope 🙂 it's not in any of the belt holes. I just looped it! Here is a video that was helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gohYRIkZrck
Loving this outfit! The stripes and leopard is such a cute pairing. I bet I could try it with my striped shirt and leopard pumps!
I am obsessed with green and that skirt is amazing, I love the tone
i have that skirt too! <3
I really like how you put all these pieces together, Veronika!
Lovely outfit! I love the mixing of prints! And the green pop of color looks amazing! Green is a good color on you 🙂

I love your outfits! (I know I say that every time…) I wanted to ask you though, the hardest part of finding professional outfits for Houston is the heat. How do you balance looking professional and fashionable with staying cool?
So cute! I love the leopard with the stripes! Green looks really good on you.
I love it when I see people wear their items more than once too; it gives me more ideas on what I can do when certain items. 🙂
Oooh i really love the leopard and green together! you look amazing!

I love that skirt paired with that belt!
Pattern mixing is so much fun! Just love that skirt. I ordered mine back in December and it's still waitlisted, boo.
I had to get the No. 2 pencil skirt in double-serge cotton in Light Rose. The colors they have right now are beautiful.
I wore that Loft top yesterday too. Love their t's.
Please don't take this the wrong way because I ADORE your blog. But sometimes I feel like I'm seeing you in the same outfits. I understand wearing things that you know look good but sometimes these outfit posts can get a little boring. Like I said, I love your blog — I've been a fan of yours even when all those meanies were giving you crap on The Knot — I just wish we could see you push the boundaries a little more.
Anon- i see your point, but I'm also just a normal working gal and not a full time fashion blogger. I think there is value in re-wearing outfits because that is what 99 percent of women do. It's more relatable to switch out a belt or necklace than to wear a totally new outfit every day. I also work in a corporate environment so my choices sometimes have to be more simple. Believe me, I'd love to have the time to get super creative and do photo shoots daily, but i love what i do and blogging is a in hobby for me 🙂 I get what you are saying! Believe me, I'm bored of my shoes!
Just bought this skirt! Glad to see it worn so many different ways!
i love this skirt, the stripes and leopard!!
I think its more relatable and then people can see how you can mix and match. I like it
Love that you re use outfits and make "new" ones by changing the top. I may be a bit selfish though, as I just ordered that skirt, and the pink, when they had 30% off final sale, and I need ideas on how to wear it 🙂
that skirt is killer. love your little chandelier in the back as well 🙂

I have the same top from LOFT! Thanks so much for the pairing ideas because it has been sitting in my closet for awhile now 🙂
