I had some time this past weekend to start my Christmas decorating. I am still not 100% sure if I’m going to put up my tree this year. I have no idea where half of my decorations are after the move. I may do a mini tree. Until then, I’m perfectly happy to just have some holiday-themed decor in the house.
Here are some snapshots of my holiday decor so far:
Holiday Wreath (on our front door)
I added white peonies to my coffee table hydrangea arrangement
Glass canister from Crate & Barrel with silver pine cones, faux snow and glitter feather
Shimmery star on my half bath door knob
Christmas tree ornaments and sparkly stars in my Crate & Barrel cake holder
Silver pine cones on my dining table
Satin ribbon tied in a bow with an ornament on our dining chairs
How are you decorating for the holidays this year?
xoxo,
Veronika.

Aw, very pretty! Decorating for the holidays so close after a move is tough–I actually had my first Christmas in Colorado with a Charlie Brown tree for the very same reason, haahaa. And since we're still in the midst of remodeling, I'm kind of in the same predicament again–we've moved so many things around in this house I'm not sure where everything is! I'm still missing 10 pairs of shoes–hopefully a big Christmas tree will be a bit easier to find…welp!
@chloe—I feel like I'm cheating Christmas because this would be the second year we didn't do a tree (we were in Europe last Christmas).I would say that renovations are a pretty darn great excuse not to go too crazy with decorating :)completely justifiable!
Your home is absolutely gorgeous! Good job with the decorations, Veronika!
I would love to decorate, but my budget is very tight, and anyway they don't sell much decent stuff where I live (small town in whatever country…) Most of decor available here is just so tacky and cheap quality. (sigh) I'll try to do my best, though. Tomorrow I wanna try to make the gingerbread house for the first time 🙂
Merry Christmas to you! I love your blog! I rarely comment but your delightful decor just deserved it 🙂
PS. COULD YOU PLEASE **NOT** PUBLISH MY COMMENT so I don't ruin the Christmas for others with my complaining about my decorating possibilities? 😉 Thanks!
Love the decor! So classy:) where did you get your cake platter? Love it!
Pretty! I like how classy and clean everything looks. The stars are a great touch.
@sandra— thank you! cake platter is from Crate & Barrel!
Very nice! I really like your ideas of putting stuff in vases and cake holder.
I won't do too much this year, we only put a tree up. We will be gone for 3 weeks in Europe for the holidays,so there is no point in putting all these things up, to take them back down as soon as we're back after the holidays…
Love the wreath and your front door…we so need to update ours! 🙂
Oh I just love the idea of putting ornaments in the cake holder and how you decorated the table and chairs looks great. love that touch of purple! I'm not decorating my home since I spend most of the holidays at my parents and in the mountains.
I hope you'll check out my blog, plus a link up called Wish! {out loud} that I hope you'll participate in!

I love all the pretty festive touches in your new place! We're keeping it simple and traditional with lots of red, gold and green on the tree and the fireplace decorations.

I love crystals with pinecones, recently saw a large glass container with these pineapples would be great …. I think I'll run out and buy it: D. Congratulations you've been everything from magazine. Beautiful!
Love the little touches you added to your house to look festive! Looks very pretty!

So pretty! I especially love the idea of putting ornaments in a cake holder– such a creative way of making use of something that's already in the house!
My hubby and I moved into our first house this past spring, so we went all out for decorations this year since we never had room for them in the apartments we lived in previously. We bought a beautiful 7.5 foot pre-lit tree from Target that I decorated with ornaments I've been collecting since college. We put up lights outside and I hung mistletoe over the entryway to our kitchen 🙂
My mom always packs her cake pedestal full of ornaments and ribbon just like yours! I think its a great idea!
Just adorable V, everything looks beautiful!
everything looks so cute Veronika, definitely snagged an idea or two from your photos! i love the way you arranged that glass tray and the wreath is adorable with that monogrammed touch. lovely lovely!
Your decorations are adorable! You've given me some inspiration 🙂 We're hosting Christmas at our home this year so I want it to look great!!
