OMG! It’s an outfit of the day post! These are rare these days, because, let’s be honest, I’ve been re-wearing like five outfits over and over.
I finally got back into the excitement of daily dressing and was delighted to style my new J.Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt (in the color “Neon Azalea”)
I paired it with one of my Black Friday finds (haul video to be posted this weekend). It’s a nude blouse with white polka dots from Express. I have to say, I’ve gone polka-dot crazy this season. Like completely sucked in by anything with polka dots. Love this trend!
Top- Express (buy it here)
Skirt- J.Crew (buy it here)
Belt- J.Crew (NLA)
Tights- Merona @ Target
Shoes- Kate Spade

PS- watching the VS fashion show as I click publish on this post! Who’s watching with me!?
So incredibly cute! I love the tights with the bright pink skirt and muted blouse. You are totally inspiring me with this one, and am going to break out the tights asap! It's just been too hot here to do so…
I am in love with this outfit! It combines all of the things that I love- hot pink & black color combo and polka dots! You look great.
I love anything polka-dot!
Can I ask what model of Canon camera you are using and what lens? Thanks!
@holly—it's a Canon T2i with a kit lens
Super cute! I did not see that shirt at Express. I may have to check it out next time I'm at the mall. I absolutely adore polka dots!

I am, I am! I am LOVING the curves on the girls this season. I feel like Doutzen Kroes and some of the others make being in shape and curvy, sexy. It is obvious these girls aren't JUST genetically blessed. Their developed muscles show how hard they work to look thin, but shapely. Love it.
I think Doutzen looks amazing as well—I think she had a baby within the last year too!
I don't say this to be snarky, and maybe it's the may you are standing, but I think the skirt is a size too small. It really looks like it is pulling in the front. Maybe it's your pose, but I think a size up and taking in at the waist may have been better.
@anon—it's not too small. The size 4 is too large on me. I like the way it fits—it does look like it's pulling but I think it's how I'm standing. It will stretch a teeny bit after a few wears like my green one did 🙂
How do you get your tights not to stick to your skirt!? This is driving me crazy; tights just create friction….
@anon—I'm not sure…I just think they didn't hehe!
um that skirt looks perfect on you! not too tight at all! I almost bought it during their sale yesterday and chickened out 🙁 kicking myself!!!
sooooo cute love the pink skirt!! 🙂

Wow that's super cute and bright and I really enjoyed watching you haul it and I like the skirt combo with the black tights, it really pops and I can see why your smiling, you look radiant and happy 🙂 p.s send some of your nice weather to the UK please.
Karen
I think you have a little bit too much going on here. I really like the top and the skirt together and think that outfit alone would be great in spring/summer, but it really just doesn't go with the black tights and shoes. Maybe if you had done a white top instead of nude it would look better.

Did you get a lot of stuff on Black Friday?? I can't wait to see your haul! I bought a bunch of things from Express, but SO mad I didn't get more! LOL That's what happens when you're shopping with a guy.
The shirt is adorable and I love how the pink skirt and belt go so well together. The skirt is going on the top of my wishlist! MUST HAVE. It's a bit expensive =
I love, love, love that skirt and the colour! Unfortunately, if a size 2 fits you, it would never fit me. I'm like super tiny. 🙁 I might try it on though and see how much alteration should be needed.
Cute outfit! I missed the fashion show but I recorded it. I'll watch it later.
Anon-I'll have to respectfully disagree! This is one of my gave outfits in a long time. I dont ever want to be too matchy matchy 🙂
Natalie- the skirt is a bit of an investment but I just love the style, fabric and fit! 🙂 i used to freak at the idea of Spending that much on one item but some are truly worth it 🙂
Gorgeous, as always!
I love the color contrast in this outfit! Love the pink against the black tights, I think it looks fantastic!
Hot pink and black is such a fun combination. J.Crew comes out with the prettiest colors, don't they? I can also see the skirt sans belt, with a black turtleneck or crewneck cashmere sweater for colder days.
Love the outfit! Especially the skirt. Almost bought it last week when JCrew had 25% off but just couldn't figure out what I could wear with it. I might have to replicate your whole outfit because I have also been looking for a polka dot shirt. Hmmmmm…
I didn't get to watch the VS fashion show. We were out running errands last night and got home right when the credits were rolling across the screen. I'm sure it'll rebroadcast eventually.
This is one of my fav outfits from you. I don't think it has too much going on at all. Could add more if anything, (more bold jewelery, coloured cardigan or shoes) but you seem to go more paired down look which is nice and gives you a more personal style.
@anon—thanks 🙂 I actually agree it could use more accessories! I'm not sure I had the right pieces though so I didn't want to mess with it…keep it simple, stupid, is my motto (KISS)!
I really enjoy your blog and videos! I can't wait to see what is in your Black Friday haul this weekend:)
Also, I am loving the skirt. The color is perfection!
FAB-U-LOUS! I love the black tights with the hot pink!!!
Love the outfit. The skirt is fab and fits you perfectly!
1st time I've commented, but I love your blog!
Cute outfit! Can't wait for the haul video!
You look beautiful and rocking that skirt! Oh why must we not have J.Crew here in Canada? I always stock up when I travel to the US.
I love the pin skirt. gorgeous
Super cute!!!! Love!!!
You look lovely!
MizzRubiiee
Wow gorgeous!!! The belt jazz's it up!!
This is so pretty! I love the shade of pink this skirt is. Pretty much perfect pink in my book. Bright but appropriate. I'm also kind of obsessed with polka dots but I wouldn't call my obsession recent 🙂
Veronika! Very cute! I have a question about your Pandora bracelet…I have one but my hand is so small that the bracelet can slide off without unclasping it. It bugs me! Does yours do that?
@ anon—mine doesn't do that—but you can buy them in smaller sizes 🙂
I've been browsing your blog and I love all of your fashion picks!
I have a sort of strange question. I love looking cute everyday, but when I come home at the end of the day, I'm so tired I usually resort to throwing on sweats…What do you do at the end of the day? Do you keep on your fab outfits when you're eating dinner at home with your hubby? Sorry if it's a weird question!
@vitoria—NOT weird at all. The moment I get home I change immediately. I hate being in work clothes at home. I either change into comfy lulu workout clothes OR sweatpants if it's not a gym night. I think it's ridiculous not to be as comfy as possible in your own home! I vot for sweats all the way 🙂
Glad you agree, Veronika! I was hoping I wasn't cheating on fashion, haha. My husband agrees, sweats it is!
I love the polka dot top! What size are you wearing? Do you feel like it runs large or tts?
@anon—it's a size small and I think it fits great. I would stay with your regular size.
