Tights- HUE
Shoes- Jessica Simpson
Cardigan- Express
Watch- Michael Kors

Speaking of glowing, isn’t Natalie Portman just positively glowing in this Miss Dior Cherie ad? Sigh. She is just lovely.
Audrina Patridge—loving how she added the skinny belt to her jeans
and tucked-in her loose top
(pic from Hills Freak)
Jennifer Aniston in lovely winter-wear—she really knows how to be chic
even when she’s dressed more casually

I think it goes without saying that Kate Beckinsale is flawless.
Yes. She cannot possibly be human.

Is it even possible for Reese Witherspoon to not look cute? I’ve never seen her look not cute, ever. Even when she’s in workout gear, she seems to be super-humanly adorable.

She’s effortlessly stylish. Love.

Pint-size Rachel Bilson always knows how to pull off a bold trend
without looking like the dress is wearing her.
Laura Bell Bundy (of Broadway’s Legally Blonde) looks just stunning here.
I’ve always loved her.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks so glowing here, I couldn’t resist including her.

Last, but certainly not least, the gorgeous Sophia Bush. I swear she doesn’t age. Her makeup is flawless too—she’s got that perfect “lit from within” look.

Veronika.
That has got to be the skinniest I have ever seen Leann Rimes. She used to have much more meat on her bones!
CMae—I hear she's really into yoga and working out now.
Yeah, wow, Leann looks way too thin up there! I'm all for being fit, lean and toned, but in that photo, she scares me. I hope it's just the angle.
As for the other girls, they are all really cute/gorgeous!
That's really Leeann Rimes?? It looks nothing like her! I personally can't stand her (not that that has anything to do with anything, just saying). Reese always looks amazing and so do both of the Kates! Love them all!
Just started following your blog. I love it! Love your love for pretty things and your tutorials! I totally look in magazines the same way and notice those pretty details.
p.s love your hair in the OOTD pic! Was that done with your velcro curlers too or is that curling iron? It looks lovely.
tina—welcome to my blog 🙂
i used a curling iron—i actually use Tiffany D's curling method:
enjoy! 🙂
Thanks! I'll check it out:)
Hey I'm Lauren and I'm also a new reader! This weekend I saw the same Express cardigan in white and HAD to have it.
I also super like that you always have something cheery to say 🙂
Happy blogging!!
The pic of Rachel Bilson is amazing, that dress is awesome and true, she's wearing it, it's not wearing her. Perfect.
Honestly, you have gotten SO much wear out of that Tory Burch belt. I wasn't sure if you would when you bought it (I still remember) but you really do (which is awesome, obvs! :P)

I love your outfit V! Very nice. That belt is so good.
Kate Beckinsale is amazing, I can see the definition in her thighs through her pants-lol. Must be nice. Jen Aniston is the queen of casual chic, I always love her.
Rachel Bilson looks great, it's hard to believe she's only 5'2'', she dresses her body perfectly. There are other images of her wearing that dress and she has a black blazer on over it, it's an awesome look!
Love that belt, and I always completely agree with your celeb inspiration choices! Love how Audrina is wearing a blousy/loose shirt tucked-in with the skinny belt… I have a feeling that look is going to come back big!
I totally agree with you- Kate Beckinsale is ridiculous and can't be real, she is GORGEOUS. And Natalie Portman looks great as ever, I'm sure pregnancy will suit her well. Love your blog- glad I found you! Oh, and the LeAnn Rimes body- yep, definitely got some new additions but good for her for making them work with her proportions!
Reese always looks classy. Love her!
The Zara dress has really nice draping! So pretty, as usual!
Love everyone you showed on this blog post except Leanne Rimes. I can't stand her and I think it disappointing that people give her any kind of attention when she's a homewrecker that doesn't even have the grace to act apologetic, she flaunts it around.
Love Reese and Kate though!!
I am really loving Tory Burch right now…I want a bag of hers…I'll have to check out the Reva that you've been eyeing!
Love that belt (and love that you wore it backwards for a different look!!). And I literally dropped my jaw when I saw that picture of Rachel Bilson in the leopard dress. Amazing.
Love your belt! Would love to have your hair :D. It's so healthy and long. I wish mine would grow faster, had to cut my long hair off because it was so damaged 🙁
All of the women you wrote about are beautiful, but I think LeAnn Rimes looks almost sick here. I do not see that as toned and fit.
I wish we had a Zara here in Ohio, I always love your clothes from there! Thanks for posting your Jessica Simpson Alany boots the other day. I scored them for $93! I can't wait to wear them!
Your dress and hair is amazing! It makes me want to get highlights just so my curls are little more obvious 🙂
YOu look great! I love all black with a brown accessory. It's one of my work staples.
I LOVED all your celeb photos, and have to agree with all of them! Yep, I just double checked and they're all great and some of my faves. I do HATE LeeAnn, but she has a banging body and my friend and I were just talking about her last night so it's funny how I see her on your post today. Great minds think alike!
Wow!! Maria Menunos looks AMAZING. That is a curvy, healthy body there. And I think Leann Rimes looks awesome! I personally don't think she looks too thin- I actually think she looks really toned and fit.
Also love you OOTD! You look amazing, as usual. Thanks to you and 9to5, I now shop at Zara. Love it.
Melissa— I completely agree that LeAnn does not look too thin—she is thin, but she is also petitie. She looks very toned to me and like she works out a lot. She's certainly not the image of emaciation we saw a few years ago via nicole richie(who looks great now) and Lindsay Lohan (no comment).
Les- I see where you're coming from—but we've all made mistakes. Tori Spelling and her husband also met on set and cheated on their spouses. It's wrong, and not the ideal way to meet someone, but sometimes things happen for a reason. I can't hate Tori because she made a mistake—she seems like a great mom and seems to have a nice family life. I think we've all made mistakes we are not proud of (and adultery is certainly a horrible, horrible mistake) but at the end of the day, I don't think it makes someone a monster because they cheated on their spouse. Would I tolerate it? No. But if my spouse cheated on me, then I would be glad to find out and have time to move on instead of being with someone who didn't respect me.
Leanne looks anorexic. Sick.
Did you know Natalie is pregnant? I think she's due a little after me.
Lee Ann looks great, her boobs do too!
@chasity—yes i know she's pregnant and she is adorable! her baby is going to be beautiful (and so is your little girl!)
I agree LeAnn looks great—i think people are used to her carrying a little more weight and not being toned, but it's clear she's been working hard—she looks like she doesn't have a lot of body fat but that's what happens when you weight train and run. I think her boob job is a very realistic size for her figure.
I love your outfit! I love the all black with the hint of camel from the belt. I am going to try and re-create it this weekend!
I think Natalie and Rachel Bilson look amazing. They always inspire me, since I'm a shorty too 😉
Natalie Portman is very pretty – but also really intelligent looking too – lucky!
I love kate beckinsale too and her style is always really great and she has a great body too
Also Kate middletons style is so elegant – lots of her dresses don't come much above her knee but never old looking! It's truly inspirational and great when I need a little inspiration for a 'conservative' look
You can see LeAnne's ribcage sticking out against her skin.
She looks sick! In my opinion, if you can see bones protruding like that, it's too skinny.
You couldn't have found a more flattering picture of her?
kryssie—a lot of thin women have ribcages and muscles you can see—it doesn't mean that they are unhealthy. A lot of women are naturally petite, it doesn't mean they are anorexic. My best friend is a size zero and teeny tiny—even her bones are just built super small. She looks healthy because she works out and you can tell she is toned.
Leann looks sick and the fact that you find her to be tone is nerve wracking. Sick.
Veronika I love your blog and your fashion tips, but I'm a little disappointed in how you were advocating LeAnn Rimes and Maria Menunos as looking fit and amazing. According to the media they do, but according to real people they look sickly skinny. This is not a healthy image to be pushing on the world especially impressionable females who have enough body issues to begin with. Both of those women are beautiful, but they are unhealthy looking. LeAnn Rimes is so thin she has lost her curves, yes she's had a breast augmentation so she'll always look like a woman up top, but the rest of her is shaped like a boy. How is that healthy?
@anon—I'm sorry, but I just don't agree. I do not think Maria Menunos, in particular is too thin. I think I look thinner than her, and I am not too thin.
With LeAnn, I can see why people think she is very skinny because she is very very lean. But, like I said, it's wrong to accuse someone of having an eating disorder just like it's wrong to tell someone how fat they are. I can't speculate. My best friend, as I mentioned in one of my commments above is a size zero and built super tiny. She works out and is healthy. So should people accuse her of having an eating disorder because she is so tiny?
I understand people will have differing opinions, but I'm not here to speculate about things like that. I think they both look toned and great—LeAnn is on the thinner side, but Maria definitely has gorgeous curves and a fit body—even her thighs aren't tiny or anything!
Celebrities are paid to stay fit. So yeah, the average American usually can't relate—but it is their job to look the way they do so they're eating right and working out—which is NOT the lifestyle most Americans adopt. It doesn't mean they have eating disorders or aren't healthy.
PS- thin, skinny and fit people are "REAL PEOPLE" too. I can't stand when someone says that just because someone is thin, they aren't "real." Like when magazines say "REAL WOMEN have curves" well, some women are naturally and genetically really thin and tiny and they won't ever have curves…so I guess they're not "real" women, right? that just does not make sense to me, at all.
Weight is a very tricky and sensitive subject. If these women don't inspire the level of fitness you hope to achieve, then I welcome you to admire women who's physiques appeal to you 🙂
I lost a lot of weight two years ago by practicing Bikram yoga and starting to make healthier eating choices. People would frequently comment on how "tiny" I was and tell me I needed to eat. In reality, that was the healthiest I had ever been. I felt energetic, strong, and much less stressed out. People's comments often made me feel like I owed them an explanation as to why I was thinner. I think you're 100% on point to note that not all women are "unhealthy" because they are thin and petite. Starting law school last year threw me off schdule and I haven't been able to practice yoga regularly like I used too. I am committed to getting things back on track in 2011, not because I am upset that I gained a few pounds, but because I felt happiest and healthiest when I was active and fit.
chandra—i'm with you—i just posted this on my formspring page and i think it rings true to my sentiments about what you posted:
The average size of an American woman has increased every decade and even every few years now. Of course celebrities are not "average" in size—they are paid to be thin and that's how they get roles (because, as they say, the camera ads 10 pounds.) So, the average American woman is not going to perceive these celebrity bodies as "normal" or "average" because it's not what they're used to seeing in their day to day lives (excluding television watching).
I do not feel comfortable speculating about someone's weight when they look like LeAnn does. She is repeatedly photographed leaving the gym and it's well-known from the various interviews she has done that she is really into yoga. I think some of the shock factor comes from the fact that she wasn't always so thin. Her body has changed, but I don't think she looks unhealthy.
