Photography is just really inspiring to me. I hope to learn to take beautiful photos with lots of practice. I sometimes wish I could be naturally talented at photography so I could be a wedding photographer. I look at wedding photographer’s blogs and I always think how lucky they are to give a married couple such a beautiful and everlasting gift—memories, smiles and beauty captured by their lenses. It just seems like it would be such an amazing feeling to give someone such an incredible gift.
Here are a few shots:
I am just so happy I bought this camera. It’s really going to be fun to learn to take great photos and maybe even learn to use Photoshop a bit better so I can color balance my photos and overall just make them look awesome.
If you have any tips or tricks or great website recommendations for photography, please leave me links and advice in the comments below!

OMG! Gorgeous!! You're going to have so much fun with the camera, I can't wait to see your outfit posts with this kind of clarity! YAY so excited! =)
The Pioneer Woman has GREAT tutorials for beginners (www.pioneerwoman.blogspot.com). She breaks it down really nicely for everyone to understand!
As for me, I never take photos with a flash. NEVER. Read a little about ISO for low light settings, and use your tri-pod if you have to in low light settings. Have fun learning!
yay Veronika!!! I am so happy for you and your new camera! The pictures look phenomenal. I'm excited to see how skilled you get with it with time and practice 🙂
Wow, the clarity is incredible! I can see what a difference it makes.
Love the picture of lulu! He is very cute!
beautiful! have been wanting a camera like this for a long time!
The photos give the "movie like" effect…brings the pictures to life!
oh my goodness your dog is adorable! I love the picture of you too.. gorgeous!
thanks everyone 🙂
Oooo I'm jealous! Have fun with the new camera! Mine is pretty good for macro shots (and shots in indirect sunlight), but sucks otherwise.
you must do the "12 Weeks To Better Photography" course – it's amazing, and you learn SO much. I don't know from personal experience (yet), but I've heard nothing but great things! I have the pdf files for the "lessons" on my computer – I can email them to you if you'd like!
also, ditto to whoever said they never use flash. I don't even use the flash in my house when it's dark outside. I also asked for Canon Rebel XS for Dummies for Christmas, so I can let you know how helpful that one is. 🙂
Wow! What a great camera Veronika!
Very nice- a Canon Rebel was my first camera before I jumped to a 5D, and I think they're the best. 😀
I agree with everyone else- basic camera classes can get you on your way. Also investing in good lenses- I didn't start to have fun with my camera until I ditched the lens it came with and bought both a portrait and a zoom/wide-angle lens. They can be expensive (the next lens I have my eye on costs as much as a purse, cry!) but well worth it in the end.
Can't wait to see what you do with it!
ooo I see the difference already! I even see your hair color come alive! Have fun learning! I am sure you can find a lot of free tutorials on Youtube as well!
xoxo- Natalia
Love the photos! Looks like I will definitely look into that camera as the one I get eventually. I so would rather have one of those than a point and shoot.
That camera was my first camera. I shoot with the Canon Mark II now. I never take pictures using the flash either but since you're using the AUTO setting in low lighting, the built-in flash will pop up.
I suggest taking beginning photo classes at your local community college. I "taught" myself by reading photography blogs but nothing beats being in an actual classroom setting. I learned so much within a span of 6 weeks.
Also, invest in good lenses. I just dropped $600 on one lens. Soooo worth it. The quality of the pictures are waaaay better. To be honest, kit lenses are pieces of crap.
Have fun! It's a great camera.:)
Veronika – check this site out! Nice way to learn your camera I think. There's also a nice book called "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Petersn. Just let me know if you have any questions. I started with a rebel too 🙂

Congrats on the new camera V! So exciting!!
I can't wait to see the detail in your pics now 🙂
I'm so jealous of your camera! Congrats! And you know what's funny? Our dogs both have that silly underbite lol! It's so cute though 🙂
Great camera and pictures! And Lulu is adorable. My mom's dog is named Lulu as well. 🙂
You are going to have a blast with your camera!! They are so much fun, and it's extra great because all of the pictures turn out so well!
You're going to love your camera. It's overwhelming to learn how to use it at times but so worth it. Definitely check out youtube videos for helpful tutorials and photography books are also a great resource. Soon enough you'll be getting new lenses and then you'll really see what the T2i can do!
