I am obsessed with the blog Hills Freak and I always admire Audrina’s style and of course her body! She is very fit and even more toned since she’s been training and performing on Dancing with the Stars. This is a picture-heavy post, with all photos from Hills Freak (thanks Kelli!)
Among Audrina’s health and fitness tips?
- She works out at least five times a week
- She does laps in her backyard pool, hikes in Runyon Canyon, goes for a run or does weight training
- “Even when I’m just sitting in front of the TV, I lift five-pound weights or do squats.”
- “I wear heels when I vacuum, because it works my calves and my butt!”
- She works out with a trainer
- She has always been in shape and was on the swim team when she was younger
- “I go to the beach on the weekends and play volleyball. Or I’ll go kayaking in Malibu. I like finding things to do outside. I hate being cooped up in the gym.”
- When she does head to the gym, Patridge focuses on toning and defining: after 15 minutes on the elliptical glider, she works her arms with 5-pound weights, keeps her belly flat by doing crunches on a balance ball and lifts her posterior with squats and lunges.
- I try to eat as healthy as I can. I eat alot of vegetables, fruit, fish, chicken. I never eat sweets or drink soda. I always drink water or iced tea. I take vitamins everyday.
- From her Twitter page “Just left rehearsal… Dancing is probably the BEST workout everrr!! And your having fun at the same time.”
- “I am not really big on sweets. I don’t like desert. I don’t like certain kinds of candy I’m not a big chocolate fan.”
- “I have all this natural energy from being active everyday,” Patridge, 25, tells People of her new found fitness addiction. “I feel toned and defined.”
Holding a LuluLemon bag!
I always thought it might be fun to try a dancing class as a workout. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Zumba too. What do you think of Audrina’s tips? I could never get on board with no sweets (I am addicted) but I love her ideas like wearing heels when she vacuums or taking her workouts outside (hiking or playing volleyball). Audrina strikes me as someone who isn’t obsessed with food intake and just lives by the principles of moderation and portion control.
I also love Audrina’s former costars Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth. They have enviable frames as well!
Veronika.
All three of them are so gorgeous! Pictures like these inspire me to hit the gym and get in shape. So much easier said than done…
Heels why you vacuum… sounds like the newest fad diet. First off, do you think this girl really vacuums? Second, stick to eating well, running, and lifting weights for a toned body.
Everything else she says though are good words to live by.
Carolyn
@eatlivebewell- I don't know if she actually vacuums, I'm just going by what she has said in interviews 🙂
I agree that eating well and working out is the best balance.
Ok, even though I adore Audrina and agree with her on most of her healthy living tips, there is NO WAY I could work out five times a week! I mean, I wish I was that motivated, but I'm not. Three times is how often I work out, and that feels like plenty to me 😉
@beautygirl- I think 5 times a week is realistic if you do 3 days of strength or class and 2 cardio days (even 20 minutes). I didn't take it as she works out hardcore 5 days a week.
I think Audrina looks great, but maybe a bit on the too skinny side? Her no sweets rule is definitely one I should be more diligent about. I try to cut back sugar, but it always creeps its way in somehow! I like that she just seems to stay active in general, which is a great habit to get into.
Thanks for sharing the tips and pictures.
I hope you feel better, ginger ale always cures my nausea 🙂
Total body envy of Audrina!! lol I love her hair too!
thanks andi 🙂 I do actually feel a bit better. For her height and build i don't think she is too skinny.
I agree, Andi! I think she is a little on the thin side. I like a little more muscle & curves than that! She has no shape, she is just skinny (but she is still cute).
That's hilarious though about the heels while vacuuming.. I am with the other poster, I highly doubt that girl vacuums! haha!
steph
I will add though that it depends on the picture.. in some she looks too skinny, in other she looks good.
MsHark- I agree, some of the pics are older and some are more current- I think she has more tone now since DWTS 🙂
I personally am not motivated by Audrina. In my opinion she is too skinny and does not represent the majority of women. Women.have.curves…..My inspiration would come from someone like Jessica Biel : )
anon- have you seen more recent photos of Jessica Biel? she got really thin.
I also want to add that Audrina seems like a naturally thin girl who works out to be tight and toned. Yes she is small/thin but I don't think that's unnatural for her and i don't think she's naturally curvy either (some women are just very straight and don't have as much shape to their bodies which they can't really help)
I love Jessica Biel too. She is really nicely toned.
I love Audrina. I was just admiring her body earlier on TV. The one thing she lack is…her butt. She has NO butt. I'm down to work-out more but not at the risk of my butt. I do love how toned Audrina is. I need to take some tips from her.
I hate working out and I never have in my life. I really need to start….Although, I find no motivation.
nat- once you find something you love it gets addictive. For me, it's Pilates. I just love it so much that I look forward to it.
I loved this post! Super motivating to get in better shape. Also, I am really into her easy going style… it is very simple, but yet put together. Thanks for the motivating post : )
I was just going to say, she has absolutely no rear end. It's weird looking IMO. Audrina and I are the same height, but she probably weighs just over 100 pounds. I would say 110 at the absolute most.
So, that means, I outweigh her by 30-40 pounds and I am not fat. Chubby in certain parts, definitely (LOL!), but not obese by any means. also have smallish to medium-size bones. So with that in mind, I think she's definitely borderline on the too thin side.
don't get me wrong, I think it's great she takes care of herself and is active and eats right, but I think she might look a bit better if she had some more curves or meat in certain areas. Her body could definitely handle it.
Glad you're feeling better, you will love that ginger ale when you are preggers, lol!! 🙂
Oh, you're right about some people being straight up and down, which it looks like she is (pre boob job of course), and I am most definitely not. I don't think she's unhealthily skinny, just wanted to clarify 🙂
I'm probably in the minority here, but Audrina is way too skinny for my liking. She's "fit" I guess- but has no curves and if we're talking muscle definition I barely see any. I understand she's short/petite so this is probably why- maybe if I were short and petite I'd aim for her body, but it;'s not attractive to me. I work out 5x a week or more as well- but I don't only eat chicken, veggies and/or whatever it was she says she eats. I eat these things, but also other things I crave in moderation.
If acting/dancing were my job, of course I'd stay away from sweets, too.
Omg, I just read your post Andi- you're the same height as that girl? Well in that case I take back what I said about "I understand she's short/petite so this is probably why"….Andi, you are HOT. lol! You are curvy and gorgeous! YOU are my inspiration 😉
Actually Jenny, I just googled her-she's 5'7! OMG! 2 inches taller than I am, I stand by my too skinny statement based on that
and thank you so much for making my night! 🙂 You are so hot too, I only leave that comment on every one of your posts like a creeper.
And V, I just adore this picture of you in your header! That amber/pink light is so delish-you seriously look like a mishmosh of gorgeous movie stars!
I can't believe she is that tall! I seriously thought she was like 5'2" or something.
Hmm she does not look 5'7 to me…I think health isn't all about weight. My best friend is 5'7 and a size zero. She eats healthy and works out and is much stronger and healthier than I am even at her small size .
health is definitely not all about weight, I agree. I don't care what she weighs, it's how she looks… like, the picture of her holding the lululemon bag, the one with her in the red top and black pants and boxing gloves, and the one with the black pants and green top – she looks so skinny! I would never guess that she actually works out. She looks kind of frail. BUT she looks really great in the first few pics, so I think maybe she is gaining some muscle with DWTS!
I think she's gorgeous but I also think she's too skinny looking! I'm very slender myself so this is coming from a "skinny minny", but I work out to look a bit more muscular and give myself somewhat of a bum lol… I think she's probably very healthy and fit, but could definately stand to gain a few pounds! But then again muscular-fit isn't everyone's thing. I guess as long as she's healthy and happy, more power to her… I just think she'd be sooo much more attractive with a little bit of curves to fill things out 🙂
I think she looks perfectly fine to me. I really wouldn't have guessed of her being 5'7, I thought she'd be shorter. You also have to take into consideration the angle of the pictures – at times the angle of the camera can make you look thinner or fatter.
I have to agree with you that eating healthy and working out is a perfect balance. I am 5'10, eat healthy, and do the Bar Method (it's a class workout that incorporates pilates, yoga, dance moves) and that leaves me toned.
I also agree that once you find something that you LOVE you'll become addicted. I had it all personal trainer, gym membership, etc, and I wouldn't stick to anything until I found the one thing that works for me.
xoxo- Natalia
Thanks for passing along the tips. This post is so inspiring because she looks healthy – not just slim.

I love Audrina and thinks she has a great body! Regarding zumba, I LOVE it! It's fun and I actually look forward to going to the gym. You should try it out! 🙂
I've been doing Zumba for a couple of months (not religiously or anything) and I really like it. It's such a fun way to burn a lot of calories, and it's definitely one of those workouts that you get what you put in. The first time or two it might not feel too strenuous because you don't really know the moves yet, but if you give it a chance and get accustomed to the steps, you just might love it!
I think she is gorgeous, but I find it frustrating that she has the financial resources to work out 5 times a week, pay for a trainer and likely has a nutritionist as well. I often consider a lot of celebrity fitness guru's to be unrealistic because they pay people to help them along the way. I'm not saying that is bad, I'd do it too if I could!
Nice that she says she doesn't eat sweets, but there are pics on "Hills Freak" and she's eating a cupcake. To each their own though.
She is too thin, IMO. I'm not suprised, though with the amount of cardio she is doing (her outdoor activities) and the fact that she is doing her "strength" training with Barbie weights. Lifting that small amount will not make you strong or toned. I mean think about it…a gallon of milk weighs more than what she is working out with. What little definition she has comes from the fact that she is underweight. I am always disappointed when women brag about working out with 5 lb weights. Sigh…
Tara- I think she meant when she is at home she does the 5lb weights, I am certain a professional trainer would make her work out with heavier weights.
I also think she is much more toned now on DWTS than she was earlier (in some of the pics where she looks thinner.)
"When she does head to the gym, Patridge focuses on toning and defining: after 15 minutes on the elliptical glider, she works her arms with 5-pound weights,"
I wouldn't be so sure about Hollywood trainers. Gwenyth Paltrow's training "guru" says that women should never work out with more than 3lbs. Madness.
Tara- I'm hesistant to critique anyone's routine who looks healthy. I agree that she is very thin and petitie, but she doesn't look unhealthy to me (ie: Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohand circa 2007 or so when they were emaciated looking.)
She seems to have tone and her complexion is bright and she just looks healthy to me. That doesn't mean she IS healthy though, I realize that.
thanks for your comments 🙂
I think every trainer has a method that they use for their clients and I don't feel comfortable putting it down because they are the professionals in that field and I'm not. I think if you can get amazing results using 3lb weights, then more power to you!
I find it frustrating that people can be so quick to say she looks too skinny, or they prefer a look with more meat. As a skinny person who has always been this way since I was born regardless of how much I eat, I can tell you that some people are just really skinny… and she clearly is. She can either be skinny and untoned, or skinny and toned, but regardless of what she eats, it's obvious she just has a naturally very thin figure.
I could never (nor should I) get away with looking at a picture of a curvy girl and commenting "oh I prefer someone thinner" and "she's too big for my preference." People would be outraged (as they should be!). But the fact that people can say the same thing about skinny people is a little ridiculous to me.
'Nuff said.
I totally agree, Audrina has an amazing bod, but I can't lie I am totally obsessed with her hair!! It is amazing all the time and so long and full and think!
I am an LC lover though! She is so dang cute!

I didn't realize how cute Audrina is until looking at all of these pictures of here together like this. I'm going to use this as motivation for my Zumba class tonight 🙂
I was lmao when I opened the hills freak link to find a picture of Audrina eating a red velvet cupcake. The irony!
love love love Zumba! It will be difficult at first but just keep with it! I have been doing it for a year and I look forward to every class!
Feel better V!
<3, natasha
Thanks for the motivation!! I LOVE Audrina and I read your blog at the right time today. Between this and another spread I saw of another favorite of mine (Khloe Kardashian) I'm really inspired to make better choices and to start getting in better shape! I really enjoy reading your blog 🙂
By the way, hope you feel better soon!
I was a huge fan of The Hills and yes, Audrina's body is enviable! I need to work out…
V-
Can you do a post about someone who is motivating that has actually done a "body makeover"? Like, lost a lot of weight or REALLY toned up? (Not went from thin to thin with a six pack due to naturally not having body fat anyway.) That would truly be motivating.
Great post and motivation! I think Audrina has a great body – her upper body is amazing. But am I the only one who thinks she has weird legs? Almost like she could have cankles if she didnt work out as much as she does? When she wears gladiator type heels or heels that cover her ankles (which is often) I really notice it. But then again I could just be being overly critical 😉
I've never been too familiar with her outside of a few episodes of the Hills previous college roommates forced me to watch, but she is totally gorgeous. I love her hair. I wish I had tone. I definitely think she's the prettiest of all the Hills girls.
Totally stealing some workout-wear inspiration from her outfits as well. Cute.
ps, really liking your blog. I find it very relevant to the modern young 20-something-er who loves a mix of high-end and affordability! Kudus.
I think these girls do it right. They are not sickly skinny but look healthy. I have lost a lot of weight recently not from hitting the gym everyday but changing my diet. I have cutout sweets, soda and most junk food. It really has made a big difference. I think the working out just adds to it. Once I finally kick this never ending cold I will be back to my gym routine and really be kicking some butt! I love your motivation V!
xoxo
