Today Candice and I drove about 30 minutes or so to go to the grand opening of the new Forever 21 at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, Texas. I had never been to this mall so I didn’t know what to expect. The Forever 21 that just opened there is the biggest one I have ever seen/shopped at. It’s incredible. They have so much stock that it actually took us 2 hours to collect everything we wanted to try on, wait in the massive fitting room lines and check out. It was worth it though, we both got some great items!
When we first got there, there was a line going down the entire front and side of the building. Someone had mistakenly told people that the first 400 people in line all got $200 gift cards. Yeah right! The promo email said some gift cards could be valued at up to $210, not that they were all worth that much. I felt bad for the people who were there a long time…some had waited since 5 p.m. on Friday because they must have thought it was $200.
Candice and I waited until 11 so that we didn’t have to wait in a line to get into the actual store. Here’s what the side of the building looked like when we got there at 9:20 a.m.
Like I said, this store had some of the best stock I’ve seen- just the sheer amount was awesome. They had the store divided into all kinds of different sections, it was really organized and an easy shopping experience. Aside from the long waits for the fitting room and checkout, which is to be expected on a grand opening day, it was great. Here’s what I got:

This weekend I went shopping and then didn't end up buying anything! Crazy I know. I would love to shop this Forever 21 though, it's huge!

I went to Forever21 last night and got some great items! My favorite is a cream and black "tweed" like skirt. Its gorgeous and looks very Parisian-chic. I would looove to visit the F21 you were at today. Fun!

Love everything you bought! I so wish that I had a Forever 21 near me; the closest one is four hours away! I am hoping to make it out to the mall tomorrow; hopefully I find some great things!

I have to ask – where did you get your couch? My husband & I have been searching for a more contemporary, charcoal colored couch much like yours but they seem to be impossible to find!

Oh my gosh I would LOVE to shop there! I love that they are branching out into childrens and maternity wear. Menswear too right? And I love the picture of your husband and your furry love…too cute 🙂

My shopping today was a bit random. I did manage to find a new pair of jeans though which is basically a miracle! Love your F21 finds!

LOL, that's "my" mall (I live in Clear Lake). I was there at the same time as you too! My friend and I just walked thru it looking to see what we wanted to get/try on later in the week because of the crowd. My BFF is a major H&M addict (rumor has it one is coming to Houston) and we thought it looked a lot like the H&M in NYC.

That looks just like the F21 that they're opening at our local mall here soon. They're actually calling it a Forever 21 "department" store because it's two stories (it's taking over an empty space that was used by an old department store). I can't wait to check everything out! I'm excited.
You are the official new belt queen – your new belts lately have been INSANE. Love this one! I got that same headband you did (metallic, braid-y thingy) and am so in love with it, it fits my ginormous head perfectly. Hope you love it too! Cute finds!
I went to the grand opening and was one of the crazy people who camper over night. I was 7th in line and got a $50 gift card, my friend next to me got a $100 dollar one. It was tons of fun camping out though.
Kristina- I can't believe ya'll camped out int he rain! I just don't have that kind of patience (it's a virtue)! Glad you got a higher dollar amount that made it more worth it 🙂

I used to work at a two-story F21 here in Southern CA.. We had to basically put the store together for the grand opening; we helped unload trucks and trucks full of clothes, assemble racks, organize and size, place clothes on hangers, etc. I lost 5 pounds that week:]
Hey girl! Have you ever been to the F21 that is in downtown at The Pavillions. It is so big, it takes me hours to get through there, Then I have to narrow everything down or I would be buying the whole store!

DH and I went to the grand opening! I LOVE IT!!! I bought a red military style trench coat, a ring, and a gray belt. If we hadn't had to have been somewhere else that afternoon, I'm sure we would've bought much more!!! lol Luckily, Baybrook is 5 minutes from our place so I can go back soon! Love your finds 🙂 Wish I could've gotten to meet you and your friend 🙂
