Hello ladies! We made it through another Tuesday! Today was an exciting day for me because we got an elliptical machine! The wonders of Facebook connected me with a friend who was selling hers and so we got this lovely elliptical for just $100. It’s so essential for me to get cardio since I quit the gym so this will be perfect for me. It’s not a fancy one like they have at the gym, but it will serve its purpose for me. Here it is in our second bedroom:
It even has a fan which is great! I must admit that cardio is my weakness. I hate it. But I figure I can watch some of my YouTube subscriptions or flip through Us Weekly while I’m working out in the comfort of my own home. Do you have workout equipment at home? In addition to this elliptical we have a bunch of other things in our home gym and you can check those out here.

I also snapped a shot of my nails this week too because I tried a new dark color introduced to me by the lovely Candice- OPI’s “Midnight in Moscow.”
It has quite a pretty sheen to it but not obviously metallic at all.

I LOVE to wear dark colors in the fall and winter almost exclusively! My next one to try is a light gray color. I’ve never worn a color like that so we’ll see how it goes.

I love Midnight in Moscow! It's my favorite dark polish.
As far as my home gym equipment, we have a treadmill and we just bought a stationary bike. We use our home equipment when we're too tired to go to the gym after work. But I take group exercise classes and my hubby hits the gym on the weekends.

I have an elliptical machine, but now I do most of my cardio at work, since we have a nice gym with classes. I really like Zumba classes for cardio, since they are actually fun.

Also, I currently live in an apt with FI, but we have a gym just down the hall. It is SO nice during the winter (I live in the midwest so winter= negative degrees and feet of snow) to have a gym so close! Also, it's hard to have an excuse with it being within walking distance.
I also get super bored when working out, but I have found something that works for me. I read fitness magazines while doing cardio, and it is super motivating! I recommend trying it : )
I just purchased OPI's "Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ" and it really does look like BBQ sauce! I have 3 coats on right now because I also like super dark nails in the fall. Essie's "Chinchilly" is a great light gray if you stick to 1 coat. I just replaced this color with darker OPI polish – I had "Chinchilly" on forever!
I LOVE the Marshall's dress! I am a big fan of rosettes on clothing – makes me feel super girly.
Also, I bought an elliptical machine a few years ago and I really loved it. I have really weak joints (I'm told it's a result of having Lyme's disease as a child) so my knees can't take much high-impact excercise, so the elliptical was perfect for me. I was surprised how much of a workout it is and how many calories you can end up burning in such a short time. Mine is at my parents' house in my old bedroom, but I'm thinking that I may have to convince my husband & my dad to haul it to my place after seeing this post and being inspired to start using it again…!
I hated going to the rec center in undergrad because it was always packed and such a hassle, so I've had my own elliptical machine for about 8 years now. I've gone through a few as I work out every day on it, but I absolutely love it. Working out in your own home is great because it saves time and you can watch anything you want on TV! Also, of course, a great playlist makes a workout go much faster.

Great find on the Marshall dress! It's always so hard to find stuff but doesn't it feel great to find something that you really like when you do?? I love it.

I have an elliptical in my home gym, and it is the only way that I can be motivated to work out. It is great that I don't have to drive anywhere, and I can watch tv or read without other people around. I love both of your outfits, especially the gray dress! That nail polish color is so perfect for fall!
I have a tredmill at home wich comes in really handy in the Houston summers!

Great deal on the elliptical! I would like to get an elliptical or treadmill for home. I recently cancelled my gym membership and I have been working out at home with DVDs. They have actually been more effective than the gym, and it is so much more convenient. I also try to go running every once in a while as well.

I had an elliptical for several years and ended up giving it to my brother. I used it a lot at first, but after I got married and moved here, the only room we could fit it in was my home office which doesn't have a TV.
Now I walk on the trails all over my neighborhood and do yoga and Pilates DVDs at home. I'd love to sign up for classes somewhere but the studio by my house is $$$! 24 Hour Fitness charges less than half of what they do, which doesn't make any sense to me since they have a wide variety of things to offer and this place is only yoga and Pilates.
I LOVE that Midnight in Moscow polish from OPI. I had it on the past 2 weeks but finally took it off because it was looking bad. Anyways just wanted to put my 2 cents in on the polish.

I have had Midnight in Moscow for a while now and while I LOVE dark colors, I just can't wear this one. Every time I put it on there is just something about it that I don't love. I can't figure out what it is because I think it looks great in your pic. Maybe I need to give it another shot.
