I was really happy with my trim. Hardly any length off, and my layers are freshly re-shaped. I have not dyed my hair in probably nearly 5 months…and you know what? I love it. I love having roots and then lighter ends, it looks more like the sun did it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good time shopping today. I tried to get in the mood to shop but I just felt overwhelmed I was so uncomfortable. I did stop at GAP to try on some of their new pant styles, as promised. I didn’t purchase any today because I felt too flustered. I felt rushed (even though no one was rushing me.) I also need to try the pants on with different shoes. I had my CV for Target wedges on and they are just so not ideal for trying on dress pants with. I did snap some photos to show you ladies some of the styles. They fit true to size IMO. I tried a 4 Long in each style:

I might get the skinny black jeans and also the Perfect Trousers. I just didn’t feel up to it today.
The only other purchases I made were this bow-tank and earrings from Charlotte Russe. Taylor Swift recently wore a similar tee with a striped bow but hers was some designer tee that cost over $100. This is something casual I’d wear with jean shorts or skinny jeans. I got a size large because I wanted it to fit loosely.
I might use these bow earrings as a charm on a necklace. I think I’ll probably wear it more that way. I also think the bow would make a cute ring…but don’t know how i’d make that! The cupcakes were just too cute to pass up…though not sure what I’ll wear them with.
Did you buy anything this weekend? It’s tax-free weekend here in Texas so I’m sure a lot of people are getting some great deals. Personally I wasn’t blown-away by the sales today. There were too many “you can get 30% off your entire purchase but ONLY if you buy pants” kind of deals. I hate that. I’d rather just shop when it’s 40% anything in the store.

First thanks for recommending Redken spray mousse. I found it at Target and was it was actually cheaper that the Pureology that I was using. Second, I think each Gap pant looks great on you. You are blessed with height. I'll have to stop by and give them a try. Lastly, I have been looking for the perfect bow necklace and what a great idea to make a charm out of the earrings. Every bow necklace has been off in one way or another. Thanks for the reviews!

Veronika – all those pants look so great on you! I went to my local GAP the other day, and didn't feel like trying on pants, but I did snag myself a pair of the coveted "City Flats" in tan, and they are very comfy! I ended up getting a 40% off any single item coupon to use next week, so it looks like I'll be heading back for another pair or maybe some of their new pants! 🙂

The first pair of GAP trousers suit you so well – they'd look great for work – but also styled casually like in the fitting room pic. Those cupcake earrings are so sweet – I'd love them on a charm bracelet.

Tina- I have used pics of Carrie Underwood's face-framing layers to show my stylist but now she knows what I want so she just knows what to do. I would visually indicate where you want your layers to fall and show pictures of hair you like.

I did a little shopping today. I got a cute grey dress and a cargo jacket at Forever 21. I really think I like the Love21 line and I am glad that my store carries it.
I have to agree with the other girls! Any of those trousers look great on you. Gap had very high cut (rise) pants for a long time so I haven't tried them on in a while. Would you say their cut is a little lower now a days? They look very modern!

Glad your micro-trim went well. You have perfect hair! And im also very proud of you and that you didnt break your shopping ban too bad. Nice finds…i love the tank and earrings. I think id wear the cupcake earrings with a really casual outfit like jeans and a t-shirt or maybe with one of your solid black work outfits…kind of making the earrings the statement piece of your entire outfit.
