Hello lovelies!
I’m sorry I don’t have anything really exciting to post today. I was having some tummy issues today and I had to leave work because I just got really sick. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to see what’s up.
This week, I’ve done Bikram yoga twice. Yesterday was my second class and I enjoyed it a lot more than the first time because now I’m more familiar with the progression of how the class goes. I’d like to become more and more consistent with my workouts…I notice when I’m working out I’m less stressed, less anxious and I sleep better. There are definitely as many mental benefits to working out as physical ones.Yoga especially gives you that sort of mind-clearing and calming feeling, which is exactly what I need. I know feeling calm and being in a 105 degree room seems like an oxymoron, but there is something relaxing and soothing about the experience.
Once again, I’m bringing to you a basic black outfit of the day…with a little twist- flutter sleeves, of course!

Sunday is our first wedding anniversary…and as organized of a person as I am, I just did the edits to our wedding album…TODAY. I got so busy with work after the wedding that I just never had time to put it all together. I can’t wait until it gets printed!
My husband and I are going to the spa on Sunday together and getting massages. Oddly, neither one of us has ever gotten a professional massage. We’ve both been stressed and busy lately, so I think this will be wonderfully relaxing for us.

Happy anniversary! Our first wedding anniversary is actually tomorrow (Saturday) so we are going to have a nice dinner at home and relax. Sunday I have brunch at my sister's house with my mom and then we are off to the Phillies game…then leaving for vacation Monday! I totally agree about working out being a mental benefit as well as physical. Pilates helps me clear my mind, slow down and relax. There is a reason why doctors say exercise reduces depression/anxiety! Have a great weekend!

I LOVE bikram! I have been practicing since October and I truly believe it has changed my life in a good way. Stick with it…it becomes addicting!

our anniversary was yesterday, the 7th. we got married last year in the outer banks of north carolina on the beach. we spent a week there with about 40 of our family and friends in 3 beach houses. it was perfect, but since we'd taken that much time off we decided to put off our honeymoon for a little while. we're finally leaving this coming friday for our long awaited hm. we're spending two weeks in french polynesia staying in overwater bungalows. i can't wait!

I just found your blog and am interested to read about Bikram yoga. There is a place near where I work that does classes and was wondering if it's any good. Do you find it is better than regular yoga? Do you loose more weight? Get more toned? Sorry for all the questions!!!

Lol, I'm just giving you a hard time 🙂 My friends and I have this annoying habit of telling eachother they're pregnant if they complain about a stomach ache, nausea or weird craving. Definitely makes you second guess your sickness, which is why I hate when they do that to me, lol.

Love that top on you! Stick with Bikram! My mom got pretty sick after she started (with flu-like symptoms) because it basically acts as a detox for your body, but now she's never felt better!

Veronika, feeling any better? I stopped by because I heard yesterday about people getting sick from eating contaminated Romaine lettuce. I didn't know if maybe you had eaten any or whatever, just thought I'd mention it. Hopefully you are feeling better by now!

cinderella girl- if you google bikram yoga benefits there are tons of sites that list all of the benefits- you can burn 600-1500 calories PER CLASS which is amazing! Plus it improves your posture and flexibility and also massages your internal organs. I would definitely try to do 10 classes in 30 days and then go from there (that's what they recommend for the best results, at least 10 classes in 30 days) good luck ! 🙂
happy 1 year anniversary! ours is in a couple of weekends, and i've yet to get the albums together as well 🙂 i'm happy to know i'm not alone on this one!
also, enjoy bikram yoga–the results will serve you for a long time to come. it has taught me so much about breathing, flexibility, but also taking the time to listen to your body.

The more you do Bikram the more you will love it! The results are pretty amazing if you are consistent with it:)
